Well, look... first of all, I did not address you specifically. The snide comment was probably a LITTLE over the top but certainly not the mountain you're making it out to be? So I'll apologize, but only a little.

And specifically when it comes to Josh Rosen and his political beliefs, it is VERY much an important topic given the fact that the Jets will likely be selecting 1st overall and the Jets owner works for the president himself. Whether you like or not this IS pertinent moving forward as this team develops. In this world we live in, being such a politically charged environment, things as small as small as one's political leanings could have a HUGE effect on what transpires in April. Don't shoot the messenger.

And bottom line if my posts bother you so much, don't read them or place me on ignore? That's normal on any message board.

Well then he will fit in perfectly in NY. Lots of liberals up there. We will see if he is dumb enough to express his political views once he becomes pro. His job is to play football. It shouldn't matter what his political views are. It only matters if he wins football games. If he is the best QB available when we pick in the draft and wins games then I for one will support him. If not then if he expresses his political views there could be a problem. I would even say if Kap won games he would have a job right now. Winning cures everything.

In a vacuum I would agree completely. Josh Rosen has the 1st amendment on his side. However, if drafted he will be an EMPLOYEE of the NYJ and Woody Johnson sets the rules for that organization. He would every right to tell Rosen he cannot discuss politics or be so outspoken about his political leanings? It's his company and he can set the rules as he chooses. Personally, I wouldn't agree with that, however, there are many things we can say outside of work. In contrast, if we said those same things on the clock we could get walked right out the door.

The President, a right wing guy, is essentially Josh Rosens bosses boss? Woody Johnson works for the president and therefore, Josh Rosen may be compelled or else to keep it to himself?

Either way, I see this being a potential powder keg waiting to happen? Just think, if Colin Kaepernick never gets signed by a team and the Jets end up being in the QB mess a lot of see happening? MANY people will call out Woody because he did NOT sign Colin Kapernick. Regardless, of the fact we all know he just sucks as a player? They'll be accusations of Racism because Woody is part of Donald trumps cabinet?

And WHAT, if anything at all, would that potential situation ADD to the Josh Rosen situation?

You can call me nuts all you'd like, but I see this having the potential of where politics and football collide?

All of this Josh Rosen may potentially be irrelevant also? No one here has mentioned BAKER MAYFIELD??? That guy played lights out against UTEP. So good that he was benched for all intents and purposes in the 2nd half? 19 of 20 for 329 yards and 3 Touchdowns? Those are pretty insane numbers.

Now we see Mayfield potentially steal the hype away from Josh Rosen when the Sooners play at Ohio St. this weekend?

He could be our guy? He is most certainly right now a bonafide 1st round draft choice....

Baker Mayfield seems like a cocky douche. And he is little.

Off topic, but there goes any undefeated season bullshit from the Patsies.

Damn, and I went to bed thinking those asshats are looking pretty good. Just glad I don't have to read or hear any more 16-0 BS.

I didn't see that Chiefs @ Pats game but that's how championship team are built and we've seen the Pats do this for the past 15 years they draft 3rd+ rounders and find the diamonds in the ruff that produce and help make them into championship contenders and winners this kid Kareem Hunt is tough and he's going to be an excellent player the Jets haven't found players like that in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh around in mini mini years and that's why we're always in the middle of the pack or the bottom feeders hell the Jets have a hard time finding excellent draft picks in the first, second or third round SMDH!!!

I think this is off topic and should be left to another Board. If you want to have a dialogue about it, I am happy to do so off the board.

Nah,
you made the statement in this thread , not me, I just questioned it

First off, let me say I hope McCown gets injured (nothing serious like life threatening) but a serius leg or throwing shoulder, arm or hand injuiry that takes him out of the rest of the season. I want to see Hack play as much as possible to see if he can improve during the season to being worthy of anything. Next, as for the actually game I guess I'll watch about a quarter and McCown isn't injured by then I'll be turning to other games. Really interested in watching anyone else but the Jets this year. Unless Hack is playing and no I don't think anymore that Hack can be our guy but I would like to see if he can prove us all wrong. Still holding out alittle hope I guess. Last, can't believe DirectTV actually gave me the NFL ticket for free this year because I sure wasn't going to pay for it. With the way this sorry ass Jets team is constructed.
