Receiver Terrelle Pryor continues to look for his next NFL destination. The possibilities could be down to two.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the candidates are the Seahawks and the Jets, at least for now.

The Browns supposedly are interested in bringing Pryor back to Cleveland, but it could be that Pryor wants more than the Browns are willing to offer.

Pryor signed a one-year deal with Washington last year, after generating more than 1,000 yards in his first full season as a receiver. He spent the 2014 offseason and preseason with the Seahawks as a quarterback.

The Jets have interest in former Jaguars receiver Allen Hurns; it could be that they want one or the other, Hurns or Pryor.

I’d rather have Hurns, but Pryor isn’t a bad addition.

Just get one of them. We need a receiver with Robby probably getting a suspension to start the season.

I agree. Either one would be a welcome addition to our receiving core. Both would be even better.

pryor looked really bad with the skins - drops, bad routes.......

if used in limited way as a big red zone target might be okay, but if jets think he's a starting receiver its a mistake

If his ankle surgery is healed and he's healthy, I'd rather have Pryor.

When he was healthy two years ago he was an absolute beast, a size/speed freak (6' 4"/220/4.38) and he was really starting to GET IT as a WR. Last year was a washout. He hurt his ankle early and should have had surgery back then. I believe it was week two, but the Redskins only had him signed to a one year deal for 8 million dollars so they tried to squeeze whatever they could out of him. The Dr. who did the surgery told him he couldn't believe he even tried to play on that ankle.

Pryor gives us good dimension but I don't think even if we sign him that Hurns is out of the question...

Listen with RA's status unknown, the Jets really don't know how this core group will look... Q is a good option but do they see him as the H Back he was prior to the injury... Hansen showed good progress late in the season but the "x" factor is Stewart... Having three options with an unknown opens the door for at least two receiving options to be added to this unit... Why not both Pryor and Hurns?

There are some other long shots on the roster right now not to mention we may pick up one or two rookie free agents...
  • Peake, D. Smith both coming off injury they both have potential but eh...
  • Whitehead only makes the roster as a return specialists...
  • Jalin Marshall has potential but Aderol booster basically put him on the outs looking in, can he produce without juicing?
  • McBride, Estime do they belong or they just camp bodies?
  • Why is Natson still here, one answer speed...
  • Stringfellow has a true shot to take a roster spot, at worst practice squad...

Yep................Looks right to me, especially adding both.

Would he come here if they promised him a shot at QB? (ducking)

If the Jets go with a veteran QB? Go with the more explosive WR, Pryor.

Young QB? Go with the surer handed route runner in Hurns.

Plus, and I mentioned it in another thread, no matter how well McCown, Bridgewater, or a Jets rookie QB play, the typical anti-Jets media will make snide comments about how Pryor is the best QB on the roster.

if pryor was playing hurt, that could explain a lot about his 2017 - sign at least one of these guys

just think this The Browns in 2016 went 1 - 15:

their best QB was Josh McCown
their best RB was Isaiah Crowell
their best WR was Terrelle Pryor

now that those three are Jets we should be looking forward to a 1 - 15 production...

:global (5):

now all we need is to get Joe Thomas to come out of retirement and we will be one step closer to that record...
