There were stories a while ago about the Pats loving Lyle Lauletta.
We'll see.

Final Day of the 2018 NFL Draft, plenty of needs by our beloved Jets and which holes will they fill after taking Sam Darnold in 1st, and Nathan Sheperd in the 3rd...

Four Rounds, Four Picks not including any trades that may happen for late round picks... Two players said to be trading block or other teams have inquired about trading for them...

Time to discuss what could be with these picks:

4th rd: 107th
5th rd: 157th
6th rd: 179th
7th rd: 235th

It seems to me that Mac has an aversion to drafting offensive linemen before round 5. I like the Sheppard pick but I would have preferred Geron Christian.

Wouldn't mind any/some of the following;

Tyrell Crosby, OL
Desmond Harrison, OL
Nyheim Hines, RB
Kalen Ballage, RB
Dorance Armstrong, OLB
Duke Ejiofor, OLB
Sean Welsh, G/C
Bradley Bozeman, G/C

I thought Armstrong and Ejiofor were in play for us in round 3.

our OLB Josh Martin his brother Jake Martin OLB/ER could be a target from Temple... 6'3" 230 lb

Martin is a tough, smart edge defender with the willingness to do whatever is asked of him. Despite playing at under 240 pounds, Martin has lined up as a defensive end and rushed from a nose-guard spot in some sub-package situations. He's undersized to be a full-time 3-4 outside linebacker on run downs, but he's got the upfield speed to warrant consideration as a sub-package rusher. Martin's size and testing numbers are close enough to former teammate's, Haason Reddick, that he might be able to transition into a role as a backup inside linebacker.

Projected 7th round Selection

another DE/OLB a 5th Round option Marcell Frazier from Missouri 6'5" 255

Hard-charging defensive end who wins with skill and motor over athletic traits. Frazier has good size, but is inconsistent in stacking and reacting to run plays as an early down edge defender. Frazier is a fluid pass rusher with a variety of moves at his disposal and an ability to counter when his first move falters. He may not blow people away at the combine, but he has the skill level and productivity to be considered a backup 4-3 end with eventual starting potential.

Jets 107th pick: TE Chris Herndon Miami (Fla.)

Herndon's athletic ability will flash on tape, but his college production was pedestrian and he's still very raw. He has TE2 potential if he can improve his upper body strength and hand placement as a blocker. While Miami used him as a "run after the catch" option, NFL teams may lock in on his ability to threaten defenses on the second and third levels. Herndon has exciting athletic ability, but there is still plenty of room for improvement before he becomes a factor in the NFL.
