Joe, I'm late to the JFU party. So am confused by the thread. Are you Shawn in the images? Are you a caregiver at an assisted living facility?
Both, all of the above... Except I'm taking pix @ NWS - I'm a local Stormspotter / Weather watcher I assist the local LEO's & the NWS in tracking storms & tornadoes. A long with IT, nursing (Geri / psych), & farming.
Wow! Talk about a Renaissance Man. Kudos to you. Good thing you're not busy. lol
I have such respect for nurses (doctors get all the credit, you folks do all the work). Took such great care of me--and family members--with a few health challenges we've experienced over the years. My mother-in-law is currently in an assisted living facility and we see first hand the dedication of the health professionals like you.

Thank you so much. I have a deep respect 4 this field. ALL public service- law, fire, ems, social services, teachers, DOT, you name it- public *service* is the most noble of professions. All professions r important! However, 2 serve humankind? 4 great danger; physical, mental, finicial & reputation... Unsung heroes... Yeah, we all make mistakes! Do ur job mishaps deal with life or death or great injury for little pay? Yeah, I'm a fan. I'm proud 2b a RN it's not easy. Not everyone can do this nor should they. Nursing, Law, Teachers, etc... It's a calling that u live - it is ur everything. There r NO vacations 4 a lot of us... As 4 nursing home? We are family, all of us- residents become our GMA or GPA... Sadly? More often than not, we are the ONLY family... or (becoming more frequent) we get caught in a family mess & pay the price. Walk a day in my shoes? Better wear something comfortable cuz u r running a marathon...
Hi guys, good stuff! I'm 54 father of 4(22, 20,19, 16). One boy(the oldest) and 3 girls! I'm a Jets(duh)/Mets/Rangers/Notre Dame(football) fan. I live in Monroe, NY(Orange county) but also have a house in Ocean View, DE, which I hoped to be in full-time in 2 years. F- NY(Cuomo is a PoS) and it's taxes.
