I was a longtime JI lurker and posted from time to time. In December I was looking for an outlet to read some Jets material/board and didn't like anything out there until I found this NYJF board via taptalk and I never looked back. Elias and the other mods have done a fantastic job so far. Yes at first it was only a handle of posters in December and it seemed as some of the topics dried up but nevertheless it was great material and dialog. I'm so happy to see some known usernames who now call this board their home. Can't wait to read/reply to this new influx along with the ones that already have been posting. This board has knowledge and peaceful fans let's keep it that way. Just keep in mind we all share the common goal of not only reaching but winning the Lombardi trophy once again. This my beloved team and it should be yours as well.

One more refugee from the other board. Honestly I am more of a reader than a poster, but will try to step it up.

I agree with Hobson's assessment of the merged forum, but to me the lack of accountability on the posters and lax mods quickly led me away from there.

Anyway, I am glad to be here.

Happy to see you made the move over here hopefully eventually all will show up.

hobson pretty well nailed it.

What bothered me most were:

1. Sooth putting on the hard sell for us to stay as mods, then getting downright nasty at us (well, at least me) for saying no, and
2. The way he spoke out of both sides of his mouth. To us, he said it would be a gradual integration, no changes on our end, a true merge. He made it clear to us that it was mutual. To them, he said in no uncertain terms that they were taking over our board. I don't know whether he thought we were too stupid to see what he posted in public on the old PI board.

Yeah, that's pretty much my issue with how everything went down. I don't like being lied to or have someone think that they can manipulate me. Sooth came to our board preaching peace and a friendly merger. At the same time, he belittled our community on JI, exaggerated the size of his community to make us inferior, and never had any intentions to make everyone feel comfortable.


This board, from the short time I've been here, has quality posters/discussions and just a really good vibe about it. Happy to be here and happy to see the community grow.

[MENTION=82]sg3[/MENTION] nice stats. It is a real shame what has happened to the old scout forum. I spent many many happy years there until the merger literally tore the heart and soul out of the place and the landing strip became a smack fest

I wish this forum best of luck and I shall be popping by to hear your thoughts as the off season progresses.

They were some really good posters. Hopefully we can find out where they went because it has to be a pretty good jets forum

change can be unsettling but many times it's for the best.. the circumstances with JI & scout brought this group together.. well from where i sit, this "change" is looking pretty damn good & i was a loyal JI member since 05'..

a promising new jet forum got that much stronger the last few days.. i'm no longer confident NYJF will become one of, if not the best jet board on the webz, i'm now convinced..

Seems like Sooth really screwed the pooch with this move. There have been a total of 4 posts made today. Last one at 5:20 by Jets82. That's like an hour and a half with out a post. Prior one before that was over 3 hours . WOW

That's an understatement. He singlehandedly ruined that board/deal. He pissed off JI members but what he did to Scout members was out of line. You cannot play on both sides of the fence like he did. Him and Goodell need a PR firm.
