Post Game Thoughts: I Blame Coaching

No one can win the game throwing the ball 10 times in a game. There are teams that throw that much on their opening drive of the game. If Rex and Marty used this game as a statement to Idzik and as a protest about starting Geno then shame on them and I will gladly pack up their **** and send them out of NY.

Geno may be bad but the QB needs to get in a rhythm. With nice in the box and a person signed off the street covering Decker, the opportunities were there to at least take a chance.

I love that they ran it but where was the adjustment once the Dolphins put nine in the box? If your team has no confidence in your QB then he needs to sit.

I can honestly say that I am embarrassed by this game. I've never been embarrassed before watching the Jets, not even the ButtFumble did this to me.

I didnt think i'd get this worked up because i want the top pick but after this ****show, I can't. I feel sick.

What adjustments did the Fish make? They put 9 men in the box. They knew our QB couldn't throw the ball. They were right.

When given 3 opportunities, with men wide open, Smith missed them. Two would have been easy TD's.

This game is on Smith. He couldn't do the little they asked him to

Its hard to develop any kind of rhythm when a team only passes a handful of times. I think the coaches lost this one plain and simple. I agree that the Jets made zilch adjustments in the second half while the Blowfish figured out how to slow down our running game. 77 after the half after 200 before! More balance between the run and pass might have saved the game for us. I can not belive Folk missed two! How sickening! And oh, those ongoing penalties!

Glad I missed it. I "cut the cord" a couple years ago and now only use a ROKU and HD antennae. I didn't even bother looking. Game score went they way I hoped but always want to see a win. Draft pick still being preserved.

Rex was fine with playing 10 guys on offense to prove a point. Then forced Geno to throw and Geno was picked. Literally a microcosm of his tenure here.

Couldn't agree more. It is quite obvious that no one on the coaching staff trusts Geno. In hindsight the 2nd round pick was horrendous. At the same time you have to ask why take a QB from WV when that school has never produced anyone at that position. Until staff and players are on the same page we are going to see performances like this for rest of season

I don't think that was a bad pick. He was considered to be going first overall. We got him in the 2nd round. Pretty good value. The issue is what was the same issue with sanchez. The philosophy is to hide the qb under rex ryan. ground and pound hinders growth. This is what happened with sanchez and also what has happened with geno. As we see with Sanchez, his system has made him better. This team needs an offensive philosophy that focuses on the qb, not on how to hide him.

While I never root for a loss at this point in the season a competitive one doesn't upset me.. Time to think of the draft position and playing some young players for game experience. Rex wanted to start Vick but had to change 2 days later back to Geno that came from Idzik.. Even with the D dropping picks and the special team failures.missed fg's blocked punt etc Had Geno hit a open Harvin the team would have won.. Rex and the team may want some wins but at this point I don't..

The Jets are currently a dysfunctional organization. Idzik forced Geno on Ryan; Ryan had to start him but didn't have to let him throw. Ryan knows he is gone after this season no matter what happens here on out. He is not interested in playing Geno to see if there is any hope he can develop, he wants Vick because Vick gives the team the best chance to win.

Basically he is spiting Idzik. For all practical purposes, the Jets are a mess right now.

When I heard Rex say this he sounded disingenuous to me. Just my opinion, just the way it was said.
