I do not like how it seems that Rex and Idzik are at a pissing contest with each other. One it's not right for the players who play their heart out and are auditioning for other teams nor is right for the wide receivers who prepare themselves for this game such as Decker, Harvin, Kerley etc.. and are not getting the ball. Second, it is not right to the fans who watch and or pay money to watch this team preform. I, myself do not enjoy watching the Jets lose especially or like the fact that Rex Ryan lose this winnable game to prove a point.
I do not think the general manager John Idzik should interfere with the coaches decision, I do think Rex should of started Michael Vick, however Rex Ryan's job is to create a plan to beat the Dolphins. I did not see his best effort yesterday, it seems like he just created a plan for the first half, it worked well however towards the second half it ignored throwing the ball. Would it hurt to at least try and throw the ball more? As a fan I want coaches and an organization that cares about winning. Rex Ryan's job was to evaluate the young talent and see where they can fit coming into next year. He failed to do so. I personally do not want a coach who is willing to lose games to prove a point to the organization, nor do I want a general manager taking over the role as a head coach.
Both need to go, this is the type of behavior that should not be tolerated within the organization. I say CLEAN HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not understand why the Jets were playing so conversative. You do not win games that way nor by ground and pounding all four quarters. After last night it was pretty clear that the Jets had no confidence in Geno Smith, however this team should of at least had him throw or at least make adjustments going into the half, Dolphins knew and were prepare that the Jets were going to run. Hence why they put more players in the line of scrimmage so the Jets could not run.
Going into next year, when the Jets draft a young quarterbacks (which I think they most likely will) I want a coach who can develop a quaterback and a coach who better evaluate talent.
