January 12, 1969/2015 - Fun story I want to share

My wife was in labor last month with our first child and while we both awaited his arrival, I ran home to grab a sweatshirt since it was pretty cold in the hospital. I decided to grab one of my Jets sweatshirts that I hadn’t worn in years. As I got back to the hospital and put the sweatshirt on I looked down at the sleeve…The sleeve was stitched with the words “The Guarantee January 12, 1969”…obviously in memory of Namath and Super Bowl III. Although my baby was due on January 11th and my wife began labor on the evening of the 10th, my little guy waited it out and was born on January 12th 2015 at 1:39am.

Unfortunately we did not name him Joe or Willie or Namath. But we did decide on dressing him as Joe Namath for his first Halloween! Might even get “The Guarantee January 12, 2015” as a tattoo.

Thought this was a fun story that I wanted to share with my fellow Jet fans.

Ok here's another story it was Super Bowl Sunday Jan 12,1969. My birthday was on the 14th but this hot nurse I was dating decided to surprise me that day.. So I'm alone beer on Ice 15 minutes before game time and the bell rings, I go to the door and there she is in a fur coat..She opens it up and she's nude with Happy Birthday written on her body.. I said; Are you out of your F-ing mind the Bowl game is about to start..She ran away crying and never talked to me again.. But the win was a great early Birthday present plus where I worked I got 10-1 odds on 1,000 bucks I had bet with about 20 co-workers no points the Jets had to win or I lost..I bought my first Vette that year and had plenty left over..

Wish I had a good story but mine is simple. Growing up we always had Sunday dinner at my Aunts house. We were there as usual. I watched that game in her basement with a house full of Giant fans. They have had to last laugh on me mostly since then.

Well if you remember we played the Giants the next year in pre season Wellington Mara said the Giants would show the Bowl win was just a fluke.. We killed the Giants 37-14 so you had that too..LOL

And with the Vette go the spoils of many other naked women. And good riddance to her. It was a transparent attempt to domesticate you. All about control. Hope it taught her a lesson to have respect for others. You did a good deed for society.
