Dear all

I came across this site a year or 2 ago and it's pretty decent. You have to register, but its free and I have never received a single spam email from them)

Basically you pick your team and then draft. You have the ability to trade up by offering a package of picks or trade down if you receive offers from another team.

MY 2015 Jets draft is:

Trade down with minn from 6th, getting their 1st 11 (#11), 2nd 13 (#45) and 3rd 12 (#76)

Then traded down with Cle in the 4th pick 5 (#101) to get 4th 12 (#108) and 4th 16 (#112)

So my efforts got:

Round 1 Pick 11 (MINN): Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford (A)
Round 2 Pick 5: P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 13 (MINN): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma (A)
Round 3 Pick 6: Derron Smith, FS, Fresno State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 12 (MINN): Josue Matias, OG, Florida State (A-)
Round 4 Pick 12 (CLE): Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (B+)
Round 4 Pick 16 (CLE): Cedric Reed, DE/OLB, Texas (B)
Round 5 Pick 6: Jalston Fowler, FB, Alabama (B)
Round 7 Pick 6: Jake Ryan, OLB/ILB, Michigan (A-)

The effort got me a score of: 4896 (GRADE: A-)

Who's gonna beat it?? OR who's gonna rip me for my armchair GMing :)

Thanks Shanghai. I'll participate in this although I do not know much about NCAA. I hope some of our draft gurus play too.

Just got a 4935. Did not trade up and missed Mariota. Traded down to 8 and still got Cooper in first. Took Petty in 4th round after just missing Grayson. (No prob IMHO since both as raw rooks are better than third year GeNO

The one problem is the Jets owe Seattle either their fourth or their sixth, depending on what they do with Harvin. You have them trading their fourth to Cleveland, and using their sixth. One of those two has to go to Seattle.

Though I'd love to see Bryce Petty there in the mid-fourth.

The game will update to hopefully take away the sixth when Harvin and his huge potential cap hit are released.

And if comp picks are awarded

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 9 (NYG): Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State (A)
Round 2 Pick 5: Cameron Erving, OT/OG, Florida State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 7 (CHI): Alex Carter, CB, Stanford (B-)
Round 2 Pick 8 (NYG): Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia (B+)
Round 3 Pick 6: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia (C+)
Round 3 Pick 7 (CHI): Tre' Jackson, OG, Florida State (A)
Round 3 Pick 10 (NYG): Andy Gallik, C, Boston College (C+)
Round 4 Pick 5: Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State (A-)
Round 5 Pick 6: Anthony Jefferson, SS, UCLA (C-)
Round 7 Pick 6: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (C-)

I was able to trade down twice and still get Jameis....also like that I got younger on the oline and got tyler lockett in the 4th round

The scoring is strange really. You don't get any credit for trading down for extra picks because most of those extra picks are lower valued players.

Not all that realistic IMO

but still fun to do in the dead zone between the SB and the combine

Broke the 5000 barrier. Traded down with the Bengals in round one for picks including their first rounder in 2016

Sack, I didn't have a 6th, and none of the other guys did either, so I'm guessing the platform has decided that we are not keeping Harvin. If we do, I'm pretty certain they will keep updating the picks as we go along.

yes, comp pick's where included last year so they will update it when they are announced.

Thanks for this link. I had a lot of fun with this site last year, then my computer went belly up and I lost the link and couldn't remember the name of the site.

There's another site very much like this one, which I also lost, if anyone runs into it, please post the link

flgreen, the other site I know of is this....

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/

However, they have nerf'd it. To be able to make trades you have to buy their premium package, about $6 so I'll simply stick with the other as its free

sounds like it could be fun but without knowing the trades of other teams it pretty much is all moot.

You can follow it pick by pick and see every one of the other teams trades and picks one by one by one

It's a computer generated draft. You can follow any trades ect. The points scored are based on what ever value the programmer gives the players.

I've played about 10 times, and have gotten Winston about 6 times. That's just not going to happen on draft day. At least I don't think so. The programmer has Mariota being taken by Tampa . That's his decision.

If you want to score high you have to take the highest scored player, in the positions the program suggests. Often it's not realliaty, but it's still fun.

Sometimes the actual draft doesn't seem like reality. Like the Jets selections last year

"it's obvious the jets don't know what the draft is about"
