did we really just draft an offensive lineman with our first pick?!
He is no small man.
The heaviest player ever drafted by the Jets at 363 pounds - by three pounds.
IIRC they once drafted a enter named Kipfmiller from a small school, who was listed at 360 pounds.
Anybody else have a Sherman Plunkett flashback?
Oh, and I had forgotten my favorite thing about watching the draft - seeing Mel Kiper get embarrassed, as teams don't concur with his "best availables".

I had Becton as my second favorite, behind Thomas. That they got him at 11, I'm good with that.
looks like brady knows what made him a winner too
What a stud! I am suspecting Becton was synthetically created (Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Twins”).
I will admit, I did have very sinful thoughts before they announced the pick, having visions on taking Jeudy.

I’m hoping he can stay healthy and on the field for the next 10-15 years. The kid is 6’7” and 360 pounds. Probably needs to lose about 30 pounds. 360 pounds is a lot of weight to be carrying. He’s a beast, excellent OT, I will admit and athletic as hell, but as the saying goes available is the best ability.
I was bumbed but Becton is fine... his resume at LV was good the entire time and he was a BB player in HS. Hope he becomes a star,,, If I was SAM, I call Joe and thank him and then cakk MB.
