Announcement : Front Page Material

So guys, we have been doing a ton of work on the site. Some of it is obvious and some of it is behind the scenes. One thing we would like to do that is front and center is maybe use some of the longer posts from the forums as short articles on the front page.

No one knows this team better than we do and some of the posts are fantastic and should be spotlighted. To take that even further if anyone ever has the urge to write a feature article for the news section contact me, or Elias or ucrenegade and we can make that happen.

I think when a thread is moved or merged, a link to the new thread/merged into thread should be included in the closed thread...not sure anything I said makes sense...

Yeah it made sense but I think I didn't really do a good job getting my point across in that announcement. The point of it was that we would love to consider some longer posts for short articles on the front page. We also welcome anyone that has a hankering to write and we will feature it on the front page as well.

Just to jump in on this, when something is moved and you click on that thread it will take you to the thread that it was merged with. If a thread is closed, it remains on the board but it's closed. You are not allowed to post in it.

just to also let you know when i merge the the threads I always leave a 1 month soft expire so If i moved someones thread like elias said just go to your thread and it will automatically take you to where it has been merged so you can see.

I never move and leave no path where you can't find it.

yeah we usually make a thread with the link included that way it goes to our twitter audience and facebook audience.
