It's only one loss

granted. we all know #2 comes next game

5 years ago, I would have watched yesterdays atrocity and exploded into a swearing fit at the tv. I would have been too ticked off to sleep last night. but, this kind of showing from the Jets has become so normal and expected that it doesn't even bother me anymore. I don't think I even raised my voice during the game. In contrast, while watching the Saints game and seeing brady benefit immediately from 2 pass interference calls just like he did at NE for 20 years, I was screaming and yelling until my head almost popped.

this is what the Jets have done to me, and from what I read here, many of you guys too. we all knew the Jets would lose yesterday, we just hoped to see some sign of improvement or life for that matter. we did not see it. We also know that at some point soon, after we have totally given up on the season, they will find a way to beat someone good and get our hopes up again just like always. we all know the drill.

so for me, it's become this. here's what I got from yesterdays games:

belichick 1
brady 0
Jets. less than zero

I'm a Darksider, but what I saw was that the Jets were hurt by the loss of the pre-season and the limited training camp more than the Bills, who had most of their starters returning. We had an offensive line who had never played together before with a rookie left tackle in his first competitive game outside of college. On defense our first choice MLB was sitting out, the second choice was injured AGAIN (will he ever play a down for the Jets?) and the third guy went out near the start of the game. The pass rusher we drafted is of course injured, along with the wide receiver. Everyone wanted Gase to throw outside to Bell so they did and Bell immediately got a hammy. Gase was criticised for supposedly imagining Bell had hamstring problems and now he is being blamed for not realising that the problem was genuine. From what I could see Becton didn't wet the bed on his debut.

I thought that it started to come together near halftime but the game was over by that time. The team will solidify but we will probably be 0-4 by then. Meanwhile my daring prediction of Patriots for the AFC East is looking good as McDaniel has produced an efficient offense with Cam Newton.

Speaking of the Patriots, how sustainable is it to run an injury prone 31 year old QB 15 times? My guess is that we will be seeing their backups 3-4 games into the season.

Exchange I saw today on another site:
"And the earth is littered with mangled cripples, who don't know what has hit them or why, who crawl as best they can on their crushed limbs through their lightless days, with no answer save that pain is the core of existence---and the traffic cops of morality chortle and tell them that man, by his nature, is unable to walk."
— Ayn Rand
"Yes, I agree. The Jets stink."

thats a pretty good assessment. thing is at 0-4 and a nasty schedule ahead, there will inevitably be some let down. like last year, same start. to win, we need to have hope and something to play for. 0-4 deflates hope like tom brady deflates footballs

they did say, buffalo had 70 some% of players starting from last year. that certainly helped.

I just wish we werent so hapless. and the players(Sam). felt the haplessness. you could see it

patriots beat the dolphins. not really overwhelming either. I expect them to win the division also but their schedule is tough. Seahawks and Chiefs in next 3 games. Bills looked good, but they played the Jets. maybe they challenge the cheatahs this year. but then belichick is sill belichick

I know 1team that certainly isnt winning the division this year.

and sadly, thete is a reason why we are picked to finsh in the bottom 5 this year. and that doesnt factor in all the injuries that we already have

Yeah I don't even care about the NFL. Normally I would find a way to watch. It was way more entertaining to read people get upset. I'm completely indifferent to the NFL and its players.

I didn't get the impression that Cam was taking a beating. He certainly wasn't getting hammered by pass rushers like he was at Carolina. Remember Aaron Rodgers became smart after his injury, you run just enough that the defense have to account for it, and you don't go mano e mano with linebackers and safeties, you get down.

I didn't watch game yesterday, but followed on ESPN. After being totally disgusted, my only outlet to watch and root for Brady to be miserable. I wasn't disappointed in that he had two picks including a p-6 and his QBR and stats were about what Sam's was. What was interesting was the treatment he got from the commentators. I get it, he deserves to be treated differently because of his accomplishments. But his coach IS an offensive genius, AND he has an incredible supporting cast of play-makers. Why then did it take him until garbage time to do anything? I slept a little better last night with that thought in mind.

I didn't watch that game either, only saw the stats. Assume that when you run the football 15 times as a QB you are getting exposed to injury. What I also don't know is were the 15 times designed runs or Cam just bailing out of the pocket.

Just think that performance turned out like that even after picking Frank Gores head for intell. That’s how shitty they were. I expected to lose. But 21-0 by the time we got our 2nd first down. Time of possession 43-17. Un-F-I ngReal.

Comon guys, you didnt think we were good did you? Weak Defense with no CB or passrushers, no good WR-RB-QB and a weak O Line up the Center. At first I thought 3 wins at best but really thought at best 1 win over Miami. Jets have been in rebuild since Rex Ryan and hasnt drafted a good QB since 1965 Namath. You didnt really believe the last GM got the QB right did you? During that Draft I wanted the Bills current QB, not Darnold and you can see why. Next year with a new GM we have right now drafting Trevor at QB sitting behind Darnold 1 year and away we go upwards!! J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!!
