I remember years ago when they made a big deal about Patriots QB Tony Eason not wanting to be announced before home games in New England. The knock on him was he was soft, NE eventually cut him (1989) and the Jets claimed him.

In this case, I'm curious if it was a team decision or his decision.

You have to be mentally tough to play QB in NY. Another reason Rex should have been fired last year. Rex coddles players, bad move with young players. Go back & look at how tough Parcells was on Phil Simms! They use to shout at each other on the sidelines.
Toughened Sinms up though, made him mentally strong, fans were nothing compared to dealing with Parcells.
Geno worrying about being booed is tantamount to him being afraid to fail which makes him a failure already.
Softer than Charmin. At least Sanchez battled until he got the crap pounded out of him in Baltimore. The buttfumble was the nadir of his career here & that was the straw that broke his & the organizations back as the only way to redeem himself was in another uniform. Now the only thing I get to cheer for is the Pats not winning a Superbowl.

It's a shame that fans of the New York Jets are continually exposed to this type of coverage from their sports writer. Here's our quarterback fighting for his job and NFL career, selfishly puts himself before the team as Cimini would have you believe. C'mon man! It's know wonder the perception of the team both in the Northeast and national is what it is. Even Cimini's tone changes in his voice as the Jets started to lose early in the season. He's a sh$t stirrer. He brought up Geno Smith's airplane incident last summer, when he missed the meeting in San Diego. He wrote then, "connect the dots" about Geno and the whole affair. It's so silly. I wish they could find a way to get rid of him. Been doing this for over 20 years!

Cimini is an A hole, but that doesn't change the fact that Smith needs to be gone soon.

I don't even know why they are playing him now. If they don't know by now what he brings to the table they never will.

Start Matt Simms, if he stinks, so what?

without a better OL even Brady would suck in NY and with the OC not bothering to call the correct plays to complement a ferocious running attack, he'd fall flat on his face. I disliked Sanchez but he seems to be doing a bit better in Philly. At least he resembles a major league QB.

I read that Geno wanted to come out with the rest of the team that night. I see no problem with that at all. haters will hate!

completely agree. our beat writers just stir trouble. they call us a circus but they are definitely responsible for that perception with their crap stories and anonymous sources.

That's what they are paid to do. Create controversy. The only way to stop it is to put a good team on the field
