Creativity In The Run Game

Cimini gave me the idea for this post from one of his recent tweets. With the way his name comes up around here you guys prob think i have a hard on for him but anyways I think he makes a great point.

The Jets' offensive line dominated the Dolphins when it came to the run game. A part of this was due to the different formations that we used. Marty was extremely creative.

Where was his creativity all year? It's a shame that we waited until Rex/Marty felt that they had to prove a point to Idzik in order to get creative with our offense.

I can't wait until this regime is canned.

I think it is a mix of Philbin being terrible and the fact that the dolphins took us lightly and were looking passed us. Geno was starting and no one respects him so when they heard they didn't have to deal with vick they probably took it less serious.

I don't really think it was that Rex was thumbing his nose at Idzik, Rex and Marty knew Smith, who was forced on them, sucks. Keeping the ball out of his hands was the only way to win the game.

If I'm not mistaked the Jets writer for bleacher report is like 16 YO. I don't see how that is sticking it to Rex, he loves ground and pound, and it was a good game plan.
