Anyone a fan of this show as much as me? I must have seen every episode twice, maybe not bc I like them so much but bc I forget I watched them. Best part for me that makes it a great show is that each episode doesn't really relate to the previous one so I can start watching and pick up watching at whatever point.
Anyways, content has dropped dramatically over the last few seasons but it still captures my attention. What do you guys think?
I don't think the content is the issue. I mean every episode now is "ripped from the headlines" so I'd say it's a lack of originality at this point.
I think the show was at its best when Benson and Stabler were paired together and now Hargitay is pretty much the only reason why anyone still watches.
Dick Wolf is also putting all his efforts into his new shows Chicago Fire and PD and soon to be second spinoff Chicago Med. I think the show is on its last leg and if that's the case they need to bring back Stabler.
That being said, I love SVU for their one-liners. They're pretty hilarious.
BTW, there's an 12-hr SVU marathon currently playing and it's 10 degrees outside so guess what I'll be doing...
