Update: Jets picks for 2021 draft

Assuming this is strictly from draft and not FA. Adding Robinson, Tuney and/or Scherff would round things out nicely for the offense. Maybe an edge guy instead of one of the OGs would help as well.

this is NOT including FA too many what ifs but projecting possible draft prospects ie; prospect ranking involved in selections mock draft

but JD has his two guards in house right now in Lewis (under contract 2 more seasons) and Pat Effein who came in and started right away and was good next to Becton could be potential to re-sign him... Van Roten trade or keep as swing but what about Clark? McDermott got contract extension opens door for both Edoga and Fant to be released or traded...

as for receiver there are 3 FAs to target: JuJu, Allen Robinson Zay Jones
tight end can target Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith
too many avenues so stuck to players under contract, and mock draft...

As I start to think about it....perhaps a stopgap QB isn’t that bad an idea. ( which contradicts a previous post I wrote a while back) . We gotta build the line so that is good to excellent before placing a young QB under center. We risk another Darnold situation with a young guy who gets skiddish behind a shitty line and flames out

He's probably going off of best available (in his mind) at that spot coupled with JD's desire for strengthening both lines and jets need. I can't argue with that logic. However, if the jets don't select QB at #2, to GMF's point, there's a high probability that the pick will be traded.

Well. I have to say that Fields didn't help his draft stock tonight. I will concede that he was playing injured but it was more than that. His accuracy and decision making were off tonight. So..........was the Clemson game a fluke ? I didn't watch him a lot this season so I don't know. The best receivers in the game were on Alabama, and, especially Smith. Olave wasn't bad and probably would have looked better if Fields had played better.
