Having A "Zach Attack"

Admittedly I got off the Zach train for about 2 hours the other day, and then switched to the "Either One" Express. (Fields)
Now my far -from-perfect hunches have me back to stay with Z. Here is some more inducement from someone who is hopefully in the know, or yes!

PFF's Mike Renner also recently compared Wilson and Ohio State’s Justin Fields in an article for PFF.com, in which he said:

“The only way I’d go Fields over Wilson is if I had an offensive coordinator who needed a rushing threat at the quarterback position. Otherwise, Fields' issues with holding onto the ball combined with Wilson’s elite off-platform ability and arm talent ultimately gives the BYU quarterback the nod.”

Just start the effin thing already! Tired of waiting.

I agree. The NFL said teams could start Phase 1 of the OTAs on April 19. I usually find after the draft and OTAs, June is the quiet month,
and camp is in July.
Yes this wait is awful. With us, there are so many options it's like Rubik's Cube until we find out. The fans are getting impatient.

This is crap . It's fun to stoke the fires of one player, but why do folks feel the need to throw cold water on another player just to enhance their binkie

Similar to most professions or business, numbers count. even if, or especially if they create controversy. The local writers have been having a field day with what ifs since the season ended.

If you recall...........I told you guys that from the very beginning of the season. Watch the tape on these players, draw your own conclusions, and don't believe anything these sports reporters say. This is how they make their living. They have to stir the pot to remain relevant and keep their jobs. Some of you guys are as old as I am, well maybe not quite as old, but, you've probably been watching football longer than most of these reporters have. You may not have the insider connections that they have, or just claim to have, but you know football as well as they do. Trust your own judgement here and believe it when it comes directly from the source.

Seen tape and Zach Wilson is the QB with a upside to be something quick. Zach has to put the dedication and work beyond practice to be great. Sadly thats something Darnold didnt want to do as a Jet.

That goes counter to everything that teammates, coaches, and others have said about Sam Darnold from Day One. He may not have been successful with the Jets, but no one - NO ONE - has suggested that he was anything but a super hard worker. It has basically been universally agreed that his work ethic is fantastic. Where did you come up with that nonsensical crap?

Not questioning Sam's work ethic, but will say he should have worked on his footwork during the last off season. He stated he didn't because he was comfortable with his mechanics and his personal QB coach Palmer came to his defense saying his footwork was fine. Unfortunately it was terrible and the main reason for his accuracy issues.

Douglas is currently armed with 21 picks over the next two drafts — six of the first 107 picks in this year’s draft, including a second first-round pick (23), and two firsts, two seconds and a third in 2022. giphy.Love this.gif

Booger and Kiper think it's a huge mistake trading Darnold. I love the kid, but other critics say while he does
many good things, and only 23, he should have mastered additions to his skill set by now, such as decision making, improved footwork, no matter his field support. He should be seeing wide receivers, not ghosts.

A few in the media make it sound like the trade was like Nolan Ryan for Jim Fregosi. They truly believe (their right) to say Sam
will do much better as a Panther. A great RB in McCafferty, re-united with Robby, etc. All true. They bring up Ryan Tannehill , Baker Mayfield and their improvement.
As Yogi said when hearing about the Francis Gary Powers-Russian spy swap, "it will help both teams".

Unfortunately for me, I watched Sam not see wide open receivers just too much. I believe he predetermine’s his target prior to the snap, when he’s covered, he starts to panic a bit, scrambles, with his on the move accuracy sometimes he made a great play, but often times it ended in failure. Whether it was Gase’s playcalling/design or Sam or both, they were the kings of three and out.

Sam never got good at reading defenses, and that's gases fault because Sam was only allowed to change the play under a very limited number of circumstances. So as a result he wasn't giving that aspect of the game much attention. His job was to execute the play that was called no matter what the defense looked like. He did what his lame brain coach told him to do. Now that he's a Panther he's going to have to refine that part of his game and if he does he probably won't have to spend half the game running for his life. He can simply just audible. That is..........if he can learn to read defenses. I wish him well, except when they play the Jets of course. He's a good kid and deserves a second chance to fix those things that led to his downfall here.

Fuckum all
I don’t see it
And guess what ? neither did the new coach or the savior JD everyone is fawning over ..
If they thought they had a QB he’d be a Jet ( and he’s not )
So there it is move on if you like the new coach and JD and trust them.
Sam will be a back up at best
Zach !!!!!!

I looked on a Panthers website yesterday and folk there were unhappy with the state of the O line and crying out for their #1 pick to be used there. One guy said the Jets are a franchise that keeps pressing the reset button and will never succeed .

We tend to rebuild every couple of years. This year I'd like to rebuild around Wilson. Unless the right players fall to us, its possible the right players might very well be an Edge and CB in the 1st Rd.

Agree, and the right IOL guys may be there in rounds 2-4 as well as RB, WR, etc.

That's the rule in the media. When the guy is a Jet, he's a bum. When the Jets trade him, they just dealt Unitas or Montana.
