On Colin Cowherd's show, just said that he believes Mac and Bowles think they can fix the QB problem by working with Geno and adding a veteran to the mix.

Also said that Chip Kelly will do anything to get Mariota, and if he slips to #6 that pick will be put up for sale by the Jets.

I know in some ways this isn't new info but this also isn't some guy just throwing blind darts at a board. He's at the combine right now and talking to his sources. You never know what's misdirection but the Mariota trade scenario just became a legitimate story to watch in my eyes.

Chip may well be putting his career on the line if he trades the farm for mariota and he doesn't work out

It makes sense and when you think about it is pretty much common sense no need to go out on a limb here or even have sources.

If anyone can get quick production out of Mariota it's Chip. Philadelphia trading up for him makes too much sense. Design the offense around Mariota's strengths, and the Eagles have their QB. Probably in year one.

But it remains to be seen whether or not a deal can be made. Foles would most definitely have to be thrown into any deal for the Eagles to have enough ammo to get it done. This draft is going to be so fun to watch. None of us know what could happen. But I'll tell you what...if Mariota does slip to #6 , and the Eagles are burning up the phone lines to Maccagnan, it's gonna be VERY interesting to see what happens.

Man, I can't wait for April 30th!!

I'm not sure there is a losing scenario for the Jets if that happens. Walk out with either Mariota or Foles plus picks. Sounds good to me.

I would think Chip doesn't try to trade up and see how things play out. If the Jets don't take Marriota, he may fall into the mid-1st and then it won't cost as much. If the Jets do take him, then Chip can call Maccagnan and make an offer. The Jets will still have time to do the deal and figure out their pick at #20 before the Eagles name is called.
