Zach Wilson will be…..
Baker Mayfield. In watching tonight’s game…. I see a lot of Baker in Zach. Not super accurate….better on longer throws, mobile enough to make plays out of the pocket, good for the occasional Bozo play ( bad pick, fumble or taking a stupid sack). Baker has thrived on the Browns strong run game (1st in the league I believe). If we can develop a strong run game and take the pressure off Zach… you will get Mayfield

What it is or at least for me is his potential. You can see the greatness and talent in the kid. It just has to be brought out of him. If I saw any and I mean any signs of improvement I would list those, but he has had a few WOW throws and tons of repeated mistakes while not being able to make the easiest throws. He really reminds me a lot of Darnold in year one. Maybe more arrogant than Darnold, but he already makes Sanchez-sequel mistakes. Already been injured. Mono next year. Believe me I wish he would be the guy because we have waited so long, but nothing excites me about Wilson. It doesn’t matter what I want or think is right. The similarities between Zach and Sam are when they have a bad game they say, "I just have to do better", or "I learned from that mistake". Both haven't, but Zach has the time due to the Front Office.
He preached these last 4 weeks as did the OC and HC that Zach will be more fundamental, boring yet a chain mover. Where?
I truly hope both his knee and between the ears develop soon. There ain't a Coastal Carolina on our schedule.

The inaccuracy of the short throws and lack of pocket awareness were alarming. But he kept it together and played pretty well the rest of the way. As for taking what was available, I though in the 2nd half he was much better than any game he has played so far this year. Attribute a lot of his success to the ground game, but he made throws that kept the drives alive. Strong defense and efficient running game is the recipe that Saleh is hoping to build upon. The kid just has to get comfortable managing that this season and next. He doesn't have to be Mahomes or Rodgers right now.

this draft has a shit load of talented prospects for the O Line... it is finding the right pieces to complete the rebuild...

we need a RT, RG and Center... Joe Douglas may not entertain taking a center early this draft because he feels he has his guy in McGovern...
as for the other positions this draft has plenty of optimal options on day 2... at least 6 tight ends could go in second, third rounds and 15 receivers as well... Expect at least 4 receivers to go in the 1st round...
