Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw three interceptions as the New York Giants topped their NFC East division rivals 13-7 at MetLife Stadium.

The Eagles, who had four turnovers, including three interceptions by quarterback Jalen Hurts and a fumble by running back Boston Scott, proved to be their own worst enemy. Philadelphia also blew a golden opportunity to get on the board in the first half when a 21-yard touchdown run by Scott with 53 seconds left was wiped off the board thanks to a holding penalty against backup center Nate Herbig in for the injured Jason Kelce.

Hurts and the Eagles gained the 21 yards they needed for a first down, setting up a 1st and goal at the Giants' 2-yard line. But Hurts was picked off by inside linebacker Tae Crowder, who made the pick while his teammates pressured Hurts and forced an errant throw.

New York Jets
Wilson did not play great in his return from a knee injury, but the Jets’ defense dominated the Texans after some early struggles and the offense did just enough to get an 21-14 win Sunday at NRG Stadium.

The win moves the Jets to 3-8 this season and the Texans dropped to 2-9 in this battle of NFL cellar-dwellers.

Wilson finished the game 14 of 24 for 145 yards with one interception and a rushing touchdown. It was Wilson’s first game in a month after he suffered a knee injury on Oct. 24. The offense did not look as efficient with Wilson back in control as it had with Mike White, Josh Johnson or Joe Flacco.

Still, Wilson played better in the second half and was able to notch his second victory as the Jets starting quarterback.

John Franklin-Myers led the defense with an interception and two sacks. The defensive line was swarming all day and sacked Tyrod Taylor five times.

The Texans gained 157 yards in the first half and just 45 in the second half as the Jets’ defense stiffened. Houston failed to score on its final six possessions, punting four times, missing a field goal and turning it over on downs.

The Jets overcame an 11-point deficit to take an 18-14 lead in the third quarter. They stretched the lead to 21-14 on a 37-yard field goal from Matt Ammendola with 3:34 left in the game. The field goal came after two fourth-down conversions, one on a 13-yard pass from Wilson to Keelan Cole and the other on a 7-yard run by Elijah Moore on a jet sweep.

The Jets had a brief injury scare in the fourth quarter when Wilson limped off the field after a sack, but Wilson did not miss a snap.

Wilson started off slowly. After completing his first pass to Cole, he missed his next five passes, including a brutal interception. Wilson looked like he was rushing in his return. The time off did not seem to slow things down for him.

The Jets’ defense looked like it was going to get run over at the start of the game, allowing the Texans to drive to the 17-yard line. But Franklin-Myers made a huge play to stop the Houston drive. He tipped a Taylor screen pass to himself, intercepted it and returned it 32 yards to the Houston 37.

The Jets were not able to find the end zone after the turnover. Wilson was sacked on third-and-goal by Jacob Martin, who appeared to beat Jets tackle George Fant. The Jets had to settle for a 31-yard field goal from Ammendola and a 3-0 lead.

Wilson’s worst play of the day came with 2:14 left in the first quarter. On third-and-17, he looked like he was going to run when no one was open. But he then chose to flip the ball to Ty Johnson, who had turned his back to block. The ball bounced off Johnson’s shoulder and Houston’s Tavierre Thomas intercepted it at the 24.

The Jets cut down on stupid penalties after committing too many in last week’s loss to the Dolphins, but they were hit with a big one following the interception. Michael Carter II was flagged for pass interference on third down that put the ball at the Jets’ 9.

Houston turned the Wilson interception into points with Taylor connecting with Brevin Jordan for a 13-yard touchdown and a 7-3 lead early in the second quarter. Taylor stretched the lead to 14-3 with a beautiful 40-yard pass to Brandin Cooks, who beat Bryce Hall on the play.

Jets cornerback Javelin Guidry breaks up a pass to the Texans' Danny Amendola in the fourth quarter of a game at NRG Stadium on Nov. 28, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Wilson’s erratic first-half play continued with throws over Tevin Coleman’s head and too far in front of a wide-open Moore.

The defense got a stop and the Jets were finally able to put a drive together at the end of the second quarter. Mike LaFleur called a nice drive with plenty of short, easy passes for Wilson. A roughing the passer penalty also helped the Jets move down the field. They went 70 yards on 10 plays, capping it off with a 2-yard touchdown from Austin Walter. Backup quarterback Josh Johnson then ran in the two-point conversion to cut into the Texans’ lead 14-11 before halftime.

LaFleur continued to push the right buttons at the start of the second half. He dialed up a 22-yard throw from Wilson to Moore that was Wilson’s best throw of the game. LaFleur also went run heavy and the Jets moved the ball down the field.

Onto next week, Jets coming off a road win get to go home and make it two in a row off a team who lost this week looking to rebound what will give or who will take the win, wait n see!

If the team would win this game and lose the other 16, I would be sort of content for the season.

It’s going to be an interesting game . It features the worst part of our defense (vs the run) against the best part of their offense (running the ball) .
Then there is their defensive line vs out turnstiles imitating offensive linemen.

If Wilson’s knee isn’t good this might not be a good game for him to participate in.

He was selfish saying he was healthy when he wasn't the team should fine him to let him know it is NOT about him, it is a team game and no one player is bigger then the team...

but they won't do that because they are coddling him...

he knows it, too... the way he played was arrogant to say the least, plenty of times he over threw his receiver(s) or he miss fired towards his player making the pass uncatchable... if he was ready, he would of been prepared, he looked like someone didn't give a shit about the team aspect... we had enough ME players and he is not starting off well in my book... Others will see it their own way but to me, when a player is suppose to be the face of the franchise and he is lying about his status to get on the field risking career ending injury to play is selfish... then out on the field because his knee is not 100% he can't follow through on his throwing motion, stepping confidently into his throws making the easy ones look pathetic...

as of now, he has a lot of growing up to do and has a lot of prove me wrong to go as well... But I don't like the feeling he gives off...

Philly already matched us in preseason and we gave our best to tie them... But literally they pushed us around, this will be a tough game... We are going to need to establish the run... No MC, so Austin Walter, with Tevin Coleman would or should be the game plan... Bring Ty on passing downs and hope that our so called tight ends don't whiff on any blocks because it can get ugly...

Not worried about Hurts, he is a younger version of Tyrod Taylor but has better weapons at his disposal... If we can win the time of possession while pounding it down their throat we may have a chance but a Kicker is needed and right now they don't have faith in the current one...

The game plan must include plays to/with Braxton Berrios as he is thriving in any role he gets on offense... Elijah Moore and Jamison Crowder throw in Berrios we have a triple threat at receiver regardless if Corey suits up...

Some of this was hinted at prior to the draft . He’s a status type who thinks his pocketbook entitles him to special treatment. At least that’s the vibe you’re reading.

I see what and how he is acting and I don't like that silver spoon in his mouth ie; reference to Johnny Manziel...
not comparing off the field but attitude...

I mentioned this in another thread and I agree with you. Wilson, in my mind, should be suspended a game for conduct detrimental to the team. Very disappointed with his behavior

I'll reiterate what I said earlier in the season. I blame the drops on him and not on his receivers. Whenever I've had the chance to watch him play, Wilson's timing has been off. The reason why he would be successful with long passes is because he doesn't need to worry about timing and touch. The receivers are running away from the passes and they have more time to adjust.

The Jets have a chance to win this game but I’m not getting my hopes up high for this one. If Zach plays this game, not making crucial mistakes and no turnovers is key. Hurts can be rattled and the defense can have a good game against the Eagles. As long as Zach and this offense does their part the Jets have a chance.

considering team doctors have to clear players to play - that's quite the assumption to say he was being selfish to play. If he wasn't able to play he doesn't make that TD run making the cut he made to lose two defenders cutting off his angle to the pylon. He looked fine setting up in a straight dropback and fired with strong velocity. Him not making the touch throws early was as much or more about rust/nerves, not his game than injury. I think it's clear he didn't arrive from BYU as a polished west coast quick throw QB. His game is dropback and let it rip. He is learning the system but it will take more than 7 games.

and I've yet to hear from his teammates about silver spoon attitude. Not buying that narrative.

when do you really hear about a rookie quarterback being called out by his team mates in the first year, wait until some of his now team mates are former team mates after this year...
