My point exactly.

I'm listening to Mark Dominik talk about how Revis loves winning, and the Pats have a real chance at a big hometown discount.
BASED ON WHAT?
Come on! The Pats bias is just ridiculous.

Good players on Pats I am sure get to a point they know how much they get paid and win....they will NEVER be revered the way Brady and Belichickin are bowed down to, and I guess for the most part they have won regardless of the team around them........Revis could win 2 more super bowls there and they are not putting up a monument there for him..It will Be Kraft, Brady and Belichick in that order...Belichick knows defense..if he thought that Revis was still that good..he would try to have him renegotiate a longer deal or something...but even though they won this year..Belichick knows it was dumb luck/stupidity because of Pete Carroll....Revis was NOT a difference maker for Pats this year...there was probat least 6-7 players more important that him on the Pats...
This story is being reported by serial liar Manish Mehta, so I take it with a grain of salt. But with that said...
This would be a final contract type deal, so I fully expect Revis to ask for 5 years, and a boatload of cash. It's gonna be a contract that pays for what you'll get for another three years: dominant play from him. Then you'll be stuck with a 34-35 year old has-been who's overpaid and not performing up to the deal. But this is how it works unfortunately. You pay for the "now" (3 years), and have to overpay for the "then" (beyond that).
Revis is still a top 5-6 CB in this game. And it's no mystery where this team is hurting badly. For that reason, I'd be in favor of shelling out the big bucks for him. He'd be an immediate big upgrade to the secondary. And, it would hurt NE's defense.
...well, Baldwin didnt do anything in the Super Bowl vs Revis other than when the ref took him out. I still saw Revis look like revis this year, and he's never been a big INT guy. I can agree with the argument he's 30 so do you pay a guy that old that much money, but he was a top 3 Cb in the NFL last year. i dont think that's debatable, IMO.
I think Revis is a great player..but I think his greatness was negated a little where their offense carried their team for most the time.and I know its a team game...On the pats last year..I think at least Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Gostkowski, Wilfork, McCourty arguably Jamie Collins who has come into his own as a great 3 down LB and covered the TE, were more important than Revis...
who knows I think if Jets get him fine..at a reasonable cost..but I wouldnt break bank for him....it doesnt excite me too much to see him running out of the tunnel opening day...hes just another guy in a green shirt I root for
Good to see someone else with faith in McDougle. Other than what I saw in college I cant justify why I think he'll breakout but its not the craziest presumption. And that's QB until that is settled why put great tires on a car with no engine?? I rather go with young guys in the draft,Cro and Maxwell in Free agency and see what Dexter McDougle and Milliner do in mini camp..

I actually feel like Savage...the jets are at least 2 years away from a play-off run, best case scenario, and Revis will be 32 by then. I'd rather have a younger option, say maxwell, Jackson, Culliver, etc that can grow into a winner as the Jets grow into a winner and still be in his prime when we need him to be. I think the ship has sailed on Revis being in Green and White for the jets. As an organization, it doesnt make sense to invest in high priced 30 year old players, that's what the Raiders do. If Miami or the Bills thinks he makes them batter than the Pats, have at it. I think we need more than revis, and we need younger than revis...
Now I know where Pats fans get it from.

I've heard Woody and Craft had a conversation about the tampering and that the charges wouldn't be filed. But at the same time I can't remember where I heard that or how credible the source was so who knows. All this news that we are interested in Revis must have the Pats happy because isn’t this consider tampering? He still is under contract with them.
