Thought on Jarrett (Safety)?

Am I the only one who feels Jarrett deserves to stay and is an asset after last year's game against the Steelers? The guy played 64 snaps in place of Pryor, had 10 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 sack, 2 passes defended, and 1 fumble recovery all in one game to end our losing streak last year. That week he was AFC Defensive Player of the Week. He's also from New York and a former teammate of Wilkerson. I don't see the logic behind letting him go even if we do have Pryor but to each his own. Thoughts?

I see him as a back-up. He is not the playmaker we need ala reed or polomalu

A damn good back-up. He was better than Pryor last year but I'm expecting Pryor to start and have a break out year.

It will be interesting to see if Bowles sees and can get anything out of both Jarrett and Allen. Allen is the guy who I think can be a decent pro.

I forgot about Allen. He's already a decent pro in my opinion. But I can't ignore Jarrett.

I think Jarrett has a good chance to stick, but let's remember that the Steeler game was one game. It was a fantastic game, yes. But Jarrett's been pretty quiet overall with the exception of that game. Maybe if he gets more playing time he can demonstrate an ability to duplicate that great game, or at least that he deserves to start.

I have a sense that we are going to see a couple of guys 'emerge from the shadows' under Bowles. If what I'm hearing is accurate and he plays to his players strengths vs a strict adherence to his system, then a guy like Allen or Jarrett might turn out to be pretty decent.

Yeah I've taken into account it was one game so I'm assuming that's why he's projected to be a Free Agent along with Harrison. I'd take a chance on him though. If it happened once it can happen again if he's determined and focused enough.
