Jets, Titans slated for visits with Cary Williams

Cornerback Cary Williams isn’t lacking for interest in the wake of his release from the Eagles.

Williams is visiting with the Seahawks on Thursday and he’ll have two more visits lined up if he doesn’t strike a deal with the defending NFC champs. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Williams is scheduled to meet with the Jets next, assuming no other actual jet mishaps or winter weather force further closures of airports in the area, and then go to see the Titans on Monday.

Should Williams land with the Jets, he’ll surely get plenty of opportunities to share his feelings about the Patriots. Last summer, Williams made headlines by calling New England “cheaters” and returned an interception for a touchdown in a preseason outing.

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Ravens have shown some interest in a reunion with one of their former players and that the Steelers may also move into the mix for Williams’s services.

Question, Was it just me, or did Marcus Williams & Phillip Adam's CB's look pretty good for us last year. I think Williams #22 was a player. And Walls is not a bad CB either ?
I'm still the Jet homer who think Milliner is going to be a star CB hopefully with the Jets. I would sign House, Maxwell or Jackson and bring Cro-Daddy back as our FS. I don't have a clue on McDougle except Rex was raving about the kid until his injury.

If we get Jackson and Cro or Maxwell and Cro in Bowles system with Milliner would secure our secondary on paper. It would be a nice unit to bring into the season.

Free agent CB Cary Williams will visit the Jets before trekking to the Titans' facility on Monday.
His Jets visit will apparently take place this weekend. Williams visited the Seahawks on Thursday. Williams has been a below-average starter for most of his career, but is coming off a relatively solid 2014 season, and is still only 30 years old. He'll likely land a starting job in free agency.
