So its a 6th RD Pick.
Oops, someone on another board said ESPN and NFLN were reporting he was released and I believed it without verifying. Not true. He hasn't been released yet.

good it makes perfect sense we gain 10 m if marshall doesn't pass a physical and we keep our 4th
or we still gain 2 m if marshall passes and we get a number wideout and still keep our 4th
letting harvin walk regardless is a win-win-win for us.
We upgraded the WR position by getting a truer #1 player. Although he's older than Harvin, he's still better in terms of our needs. Big, strong physical WR who's especially good in the red zone. Harvin wasn't a #1 WR. Both are divas. We lose a fifth rounder, but add 2 million to our cap with this swap.
I'd say it was a good day in Jet Land, especially when you add in the Harris re-sign. Sorry WRECKS.
I agree, except one thing, how's Geno, Foles, Hoyer or whomever going to react when Marshall gets in their face like a crazy person ! What is it with WR's, are they born diva's or what. That's why I still want Cooper, he's a Good kid and great WR.
Go Jets...Cyborg
Wow, if you count all the picks we already had and didn't lose (like the 4th) it really can sound like the Herschel deal! Brandon Marshall, 2.5 million and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th round picks for a fifth pick to the Bears and sixth round pick to the Vikings for Percy Harvin.Brandon Marshall, 2.5 million and a 4th round pick for a fifth pick to the Bears and sixth round pick to the Vikings for Percy Harvin
Could be as a good a trade as the Cowboy deal with the Vikings for Hershall Walker
Makes no sense to release him before Marshall passes his physical. Really doesn't make much sense to release him before the deadline (3/19?). They gain nothing, and if the top WRs come off the board in the next week, maybe he blinks and restructures, maybe somebody panics and does a deal before he hits FA, who knows. Doubtful, but since it costs you nothing...
I think Percy played hard for us when he was here and seemed to be trying and seemed to care. So, I thank him for his efforts and wish him the best
