Jets moves so far but?

Im really happy over Douglas moves so far, but does anyone know whats happening at CENTER and Becton? Center must be fixed. We cant go into another season with Defenses comming up mjddle and off edges. Boomer reporting about Becton weight issues and Jets moving on from him. Boomer said Becton situation is very sad he cant control eating having all last season to get under control. Boomer said he would be top 5 O Lineman in shape. We need him. BTW Im just reporting whats been said since last year and this year from media reports.

McGovern rounded into shape nicely after we picked up The Doctor to replace Van Roten. He should look even better with Laken at RG.
As for Becton, let's take everything with a grain of salt.

Still don't get the warm and fuzzy feeling about the O line.
I hope there will some additions through the draft- there's plenty of round 1-4 talent available so they could trade down and get some.

You don't really put any stock in what these reporters post do you ? You'll give yourself a heart condition. Believe it when you hear it from the team.

if nothing else changes, and the line looks like Becton, AVT, MC, Lake, and Fant...i think they get very good in the passing game, but i worry about the run going silent for long stretches.

i want Penning to replace Fant... that type of nastiness next to Lake will be awesome.

Trouble is I don’t think Fant is the same type of player on the right side as he is on the left . If he’s not our left tackle then I really don’t want him as our right tackle.

LT is iffy. Depends on Becton. Center needs and upgrade. Need a RT. Band aids will not improve Offensive line.

There’s nothing wrong with the guy playing center on the roster currently. It’s not his fault that he was surrounded y a rookie and a practice squad player.

If we pick Neal or Ekwonu at 4, then Saleh and company will be moving on from Becton. What is the news on him these days ? And an even more interesting question….. can Becton play RT at 380? Or is that simply too large ?

So the pictures of Becton working out where he appears to be in decent shape and working to get in even better shape are photoshopped? Maybe someone put his head on someone else’s body.
I love Boomer on the radio but if you are going to put all your opinions on that of a radio talking head you will surely be disappointed more often than not.

I think Becton will always struggle to stay in shape. He will be 500 lbs after football. I just hope he can give the Jets years of high level play, but I think drafting someone who can fill his role would just make sense. Depending on him to be in shape year after year is stupid.

I'd rather hear that from team or G-man, otherwise I call BS. If he really is struggling with his mental state (confidence?) and weight JD may consider moving him. But the big man is too talented and at a premium position to give up on this soon. The smart move IMHO is to spend yet another premium pick in the first two rounds on an OT to play RT and keep Fant as insurance to play LT in case Becton isn't the answer.
I also like the idea of Penning next to Laken on the right side - nasty.

Like many of us, the human species tends to gain weight as the years go by. This applies more of football players.
There are exceptions such as Shaun O'Hara, Jeff Saturday, both linemen and former LBer Tedy Bruski. He is built today like that jump around energizer bunny, Dan (Mr. Annoying) Orlovsky.
