Sadly, I doubt Klecko will ever be in the HOF. Not because he doesn't deserve to, but because he went to prison on an insurance fraud

HOF election also depends on a players reputation.. Gastineau was rated all time top 10 as a sack artist made 5 Pro bowls and All Pro 3 times but he wasn't a well liked player or a good guy.. While a guy like Cumar who didn't like football was a altar boy in a league where being a thug punk is accepted as normal.. Yes he was a good durable back but given a choice between him for 8 years or Terrell Davis I'll take Davis and his 3 straight All Pro years who was the main force in Denver winning back to back bowls..

I agree plus when you see how a player is on the field like Gale Sayers for a example you knew the guy was great.. But if a young fan looked at his stats 2 years over 1,000 yds etc he would say WTF but then he never saw him play.. Stats don't tell the whole story Vinny has more TD's and passing yards then Joe Montana but did his compiled stats make him the better player??

martin is one of my favorite jets of all time.. but davis > martin is a no brainer.. hell, i take davis in his prime over a bunch of HOF backs including barry sanders..
