Zach vs Flacco

What is the win prediction if Flacco started every game this year vs Zach starting every game this year. One could say Flaccos style of play and skill set may fit LaFluers scheme better than Zach’s. (Faster reads…. Getting the ball out quick etc). I guess the question is it more important to win this year or see what we have in Zach? Or perhaps both?? IMO, I think the win totals may be close to the same so it may be more important to see what we have in Zach, even if its only 13 to 14 games. Thoughts???

I can see Flacco being better at the onset of the season but worse towards the end because of his age.

If we begin to compare, it is senseless on a long term basis. Flacco could literally have been in the league when Zach was peeing in his diaper. Secondly, Flacco made his money, there would be tens of millions of dollars difference in pay. We could have drafted a veteran QB and use the #2 spot for a different positional player.
Flacco at best we can hope is a placesetter, while Zach we hope will make a full recovery.
I want to see Zach on TV playing football, not in a booth.

I agree. It’s just that the fan base is so desperate so show progress (winning). I know Flacco is a place setter with 1 or 2 yrs left, and that the main goal is Zach’s evaluation. Hopefully we can get both (winning and the evaluation). Maybe my fear is that we shit the bed with Wilson, and he doesn’t pan out. Hopefully not. I guess its human nature to fear what you cant bear……… which is another QB start over

Yeah. I think we do much better with Flacco. If he could get us to 12-5, like @TebowCan'tThrow suggests then by all means I would play him. So part of this team has to believe. If Flacco can make that happen then he should play

if Saleh and JD have seen something from Zach to make them believe he can lead this team right now, something we can’t see, then start Zach

Agree somewhat. He's not going to have 5 games to sway the coaching staff.

i'm nobody's gambler, it never appealed to me.. but isn't the point of a spread to find the sweet spot were both sides still want to bet regardless??

anyway i'm not off a week 1 win because of the line in vegas..

besides the line change might have more to do with the shiity defensive showing in philly last week then flacco starting does..

Wilosn is younger has has the speed but Flacco is much taller with a longer reach and a lot of experience. Should be a knockout by Flacco early unless Wilson could dodge him for a few rounds and wear Flacco out, maybe win on a split decision

If Flacco had anything left, would he be on the market, getting back up money.
He is a good serviceable back up with a ton of experience. He’ll get you a win or two, hopefully.
Thinking he can lead a team to 12 wins, to me, is asking/thinking way too much of him.
This is a QB starved league, He would’ve signed somewhere to start.
The Jets, for all it’s possible talents, is still a very young team, with most of its talent in its second or rookie season.
Flacco is a good, serviceable QB, back when he was winning 12 games, he had an all history defense, and a top notch running game.
