Our season is over before it even begun!

Sorry to be the negative Nancy here but I’m a realist at the same time. Zach probably won’t play until week 6, because they’ll want to play it safe. Hell, he may even need to wait till then but by then our season will already be over. If we win one game with Flacco these 4-6 games I’ll be surprised!

Zach may not have done that much better but I seriously doubt that. Even if he’s not our guy and we’ll be moving on from him in another two years, we need to see it to know it for a fact. This injury bug thing with Zach Wilson, IS BECOMING A PROBLEM FOR ME. I will admit that.

I still have the upmost confidence in that he is our guy but I (we) still need to see it. If this injury bullshit continues with him (much like it did every year with Darnold) I will be changing my thought process with Zach. Last point, it will be ALOT more satisfying seeing us lose with Zach this year than Flacco.

We need to see what this kid can do because he’s the key to whether or not we have a future of success. ANY QB FOR ANY TEAM IS!!!

So yeah, We are hard to convince and its not easy to jump on the optimism train. Doesn't make us any less of a Fan or that We do not bleed Green(no alternates here) its just that We've seen the show, been around the block, etc and so forth. We know shit happens. How many times have you heard any number of variations of " Change of Culture" or "Change the Culture"? It gets old.

As I have said before I'm not sold enough on Zach to be confident in his ability to lead a team. I need to see A LOT more from him to be comfortable or confident with the Kid under Center. Its nothing personal with Him. He seems like a likeable guy. Maybe He's a Cougar hunter, maybe not. Not a bad thing to be. I just wanna win Dammit. Like WE ALL DO. Is Zach it? I don't know and IMO We should at least have an idea if He is even capable of leading an Offense in the NFL. So Far, I don't see it. Hey what do I know? Here’s what I want everybody to understand, or this is my opinion and it may only be mine. With Vinny T, he still had ALOT of talent left in him that I just don’t see Flacco having. Plus that Jets team was playoff ready and primetime and the QB he replaced was garbage with absolutely no potential. If I remember correctly it was Glenn Foley, wasn’t it? If that’s the case or whomever it was the Jets had no chance with him but they were ready to win right then and there. So playing Vinny T made all the sense in the world.

This team is totally different. Zach has potential and talent that Foley or whomever didn’t. Plus this team is primarily young and growing and may not have been a playoff team this year anyway, even with Zach Wilson. But the key to it is they’re young and hungry and if Zach is the guy, he is the entire key or could or should be the guy to bringing the team together. Football teams are primarily build around QBs and there just is no getting around that.

Zach Wilson has the potential and talent that we need and we’re looking for to be at least a second tier quarterback, if not a first. No he may not be a first tier guy like a Mahomes, J. Allen, Rogers, Herbert, Burrow, Rodgers, L. Jackson, D. Watson and Brady but he definitely has the talent and potential to be a second tier guy like a Carr, R. Wilson, Prescott, Stafford and K. Murray. If Zach isn’t first or second tier then we to find ASAP!

Zach in my opinion just has to stay healthy enough to learn and grasp the game. That’s his main problem! I think he mentally can pick the game up. He studies and puts in the work hard enough. He will make mistakes regardless but will he learn from them is the question? I think he will. He seems smart enough to do so. To me, it’s all about now can he stay on the field enough to put it all together. If he can’t get that under control that will be a major problem.

Availability is the best ability!!!

There is a simple solution here. We need to get the nfl to apply the Brady rule to Zach. If no one is allowed within 10 yards of him he ought to be able to stand in one spot for 25 years waiting guys to get open

As good as Vinny was that year, he had Parcells behind him. Remember how fast Parcells turned that team around? It wasn’t any 3 year plan to the playoffs. He brought in a nandleful of guys with the right attitude and talent, and we were immediately a contender.

This works for me! We all know it will never happen for a Jets QB but I love the wishful thinking. As far as the rest of your post, I can’t argue with anything that you said. Parcells turned the team around immediately and I have to give it to Rex Ryan, he did the same.

Difference with Parcells is we have a quarterback who could’ve actually lead us to and won a Super Bowl with them. Rex Ryan didn’t have that in Mark Sanchez. Saleh and Joe D are doing this the right way IMO. It’s just going to take more time and the main key now figuring out whether Zach Wilson is the key to put it all together.

Or do we have to look elsewhere after next year?

I personally am very ok with our current situation. Get Fant back to LT where he belongs, get Mitchel his couple games to get his feet wet at RT where he played most of his college career. If MM turns out to be a decent RT and the line Gels nicely, they are hitting their stride in game 4 when our QB gets back on the field. I am very far from those that have thrown in the towel on our young QB. He has a lot of promise and potential and I am willing to see that play out. If Wilson and Mitchell end up being good, our high priority next year could be left tackle again or just re-sign Fant. Not a horrible position to be in IMO.

If he doesn’t kick that than it doesn’t matter how good or great he can be. Availability is the best ability! We need to see if Zach has the goods and can lead this team. Some people seem to think we’ll be just fine with Flacco. I seriously beg to differ on that one. If we are then so be it and that would be a good thing but I just don’t see it. Comparing Flacco to Vinny T makes no sense to me at all. I just don’t see us having the same results as we did in 98’. Vinny T had talent still that Flacco doesn’t IMO. Plus a veteran playoff team and Super Bowl winning Head Coach to lead them. See the difference!!!

I believe in Zach and think he’s our guy. It’s his injuries that are starting to concern me. IMO, Flacco is not Vinny T and I don’t think/see him leading us to any big time victories with this Jets team. I’m so tired of going through this quarterback carousel bullshit. I’m not truly hoping that Zack Wilson is our guy because I’m tired of it but I actually think he has the guts and goods. Darnold obviously didn’t. He couldn’t even beat out Baker Mayfield on a pretty good Panthers team. Whether or not that will be proven by Zach to be the case I don’t know but only time will tell!
