Stars emerging all over. Quinnen Williams AFC Defensive player of the month. His stats are comparable to Aaron Donald. 6 sacks, leads all DT’s in pressure rate, and sack rate. Some fans wanted to trade him last year. Yes, you know who you are.

There seems to be very little if any middle ground with some folks; either we are contenders or no better than a high school team.

I’m one of the people you're speaking of. In my defense and probably in most people's eyes, it’s not that the Jets lose but how they lost is the problem. Zach couldn’t hold up his end of the bargain out there and he looked lost.
Like he’s thinking this is BYU or even worse, high school football and he can just throw it up in the air and good things will happen. If he does that against the Bills they will lose by 50 points.
He has all the talent and potential in the world but not the mentality he needs yet! He needs to fix that, or he will end up being a very talented bench player.

the defense & special teams has held up their end of deal..
if wilson & by extension lafleur get things right we make a legit run at the playoffs.. this season..
I'd fire Douglas right now. No other team would want him in their front office.
What if he doesn’t ? Not sure where we go at qb if they decide Zach is not the man. I don’t want to see us back like the old days where the defense plays great and the offense punts after 3 plays and then the defense eventually gets tired or quits. Wfan was talking about if Zach fails, we need a veteran QB, we can’t draft another crap shoot next year. I’m not sure where we go. I kinda feel like Zach has to be the man somehow or we have a huge setback

I just think guyare looking at the rest of the schedule and seeing 3 winnable games and knowing that even good teams don’t win every winnable game. Combine that with starting 5-2 leading to very high hopes
personally, I see a pretty good defense, pretty good special teams, some very talented draft picks, but an offense that scares me. Especially without Breece and AVT. Injuries suck.
but I also just witnessed a total team collapse vs. the only afc team that we cant have that against.
lafluer still scares me, as does Zach. I am encouraged by the halftime adjustments which we haven’t seen in years, but wonder if lafluer calls his brother at halftime and asks him what to do, because in the 1st half he generally seems clueless. Hopefully he improves.
hopefully a lot of Zach’s issues are because of the injured o line, but a lot of what I read, discounts that. To my eyes, he has had to run for his life a lot with not much time to even throw it away
Good pocket passers will stay in the pocket till the last split second and either hit their target or throw it away. The first sign of Duress and Wilson is off and running.
The game is changing so much where the pure pocket passers no longer occupy the top tier of QBs in the league. The best right now combine quick and accurate decision making with mobility. Have you watched the king of the pocket and quick decision maker Tom Brady aka the GOAT lately. He’s getting his ass handed to him. Escaping collapsing pockets is not a bad thing, it’s what you do afterwards. With that I agree, Wilson needs to be better with his decision making outside of the pocket. I also agree with an earlier post that said LaFleur needs to tailor the offense to his players and not players to his system. He can start with utilizing Moore and TEs on quick progression routes and rediscover the running game.
But that might be because he has never had a pocket to hang out in so he is shell shocked
But Zach rarely gets a pocket to piss in. I mean pass in. And once you get used to being blind sided it’s hard to forget
he's defiantly been more skittish in year two.. more skittish then even darnold was in his 2nd season..
he's breaking the pocket early & going directly into his backwards death spiral for a few seconds before heaving it out of bounds..
try & count in your minds eye how many times wilson steps up in the pocket & fires a dart?!
