Yeah, sure we'd rather have Mahomes or Allen but we're talking about the four QBs we have on the roster. Flacco and Wilson 'nuff said. White is the better QB but this offensive line have almost got him killed once and now he is dinged he is one more hit away from the cart. Strev has the best playing style for this line, as when Fitz came in when we had a weak line before.

I'm hoping for a new QB not a new coach. I'd prefer to fix the obvious problem first. It's not the coaches fault that Zach can't follow directions or read defenses. Mike White is good at both of those things but lacks the skill set to consistently win games.

I'm not keen on Rogers both because he's clearly lost a step or two and he tends to be a diva. That being said such a move wouldn't surprise me especially because he and Zach are friends and even at his reduced effectiveness he's better than anyone currently on the roster. I don't know how the Jets could afford his contract. Still, the possibility is being floated around the internet.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. Fans keep talking about every draft pick like he's the next Josh Allen, claim that a middle-of-the-road QB is not good enough, but end up with the lowest rated qb. See the pattern? Maybe Carr would take this team to the AFC championship game or even a division title.

What about Baker Mayfield for next year? It’s obvious or it should be that the Jets are going to get rid of Zach next year by hook or crook. So what about bringing in Baker Mayfield? He could give MW competition for the starting job and hopefully he comes in pretty cheap.

I don’t know how the numbers would add up or what he could really ask for but it can’t be to much. I mean he played for two teams this year and one of them cut him. He’s looking pretty good with the Rams now but that still shouldn't mean that he can ask for millions, can he???

At least I have been consistent. I actually felt sorry for him watching him get booed and heckled. Seeing his mom get involved with a fan on social media tells me he needs to be gone from this organization as soon as possible for his own mental health. After watching Mr. Mayfield at the helm of the Rams yesterday, I suspect he's found a home. His 'fit' with the team is borne out by the final score, or even by the first 4 minutes of the game, for that matter. I rather doubt the Jets will look all that attractive to him.

Pardon me for my opinion as ridiculous as you might thinkit may be. Been a Jet too long and saw their acquisitions at QB by the dozen. One brought them to a SB, a draft pick from Alabama. Also please cite my advocacy of any draft pick prior to stepping on an NFL field. Darnold? Sanchez? There is a difference between having high hopes and predicting actual results.

I won't suggest an option for the Jets as far as replacing Zach. I'm sure a lot of discussion will be had in JD's office in the off season. The Jets have only a slim chance of still making the playoffs and that pretty much requires that they win the next two games. If the Jets want a chance of winning those games they need to play White. As good as White has played I don't see him as a viable long term replacement. He doesn't have the mobility we really need. We need a guy as good with his legs as he is with his arm. That isn't White. Strevler is good with his legs but not so great as a passer. Flacco has lost both skills and needs to be moved on from. Period. As I see it our only hope for a better next season is in the hands of JD. He needs to find a way to bring in a vet that still has gas in the tank and is as much a threat to run as he is to pass and draft a QB with that skill set, that can read defenses, to learn behind the vet. Zach's biggest fault is that by the time he figures out what the defenses are going to do to him they've already done it. He's mobile enough, got the arm, but the game is just to damn fast for him. Also..........I'm not so sure that Mike White will want to stick around unless he's pretty sure of being the starter. He's played well, got some good tape out there, and I believe he will see if he can do better in free agency. That's the way these old eyes see it anyway.

i don’t know why Mike White can’t improve he’s only played a few games and played pretty well. How anyone can decide he’s hit his ceiling is beyond me.

You are absolutely correct CH. I agree with you, mostly. White is bound to get better with every game. My concern is only about the physical skills. He might improve there as well given time but learning and training to be a mobile duo threat QB is not easy if even possible and that's what this offense really needs in it's long term QB to really dominate defenses. I'm fine with White until we find that guy. I especially agree with you that the "O" line has sucked ass. White is damn lucky he isn't out for the season. That's why I get a little irritated when guys start ragging on Lefleur. First off he's new to the job as well so a mistake now and again is expected. Guys complain because he uses so many passing plays but if the running game has been shut down there just is no other option. The guys on the "O" line however, by the way are there because of their vast experience to help this team, are not new at the position. Because of their great experience they run every play exactly the way Lefleur drew it up. Anyone who thinks for a minute that that is the case is fooling themselves. This "O" line can't block it's way out of a wet paper bag, or at least they normally don't, just ask our running backs who in the last 4 games or so have had more negative yard plays than positive. So no matter who is under center they are at high risk of serious injury until the guys on the "O" line start doing their job. I agree completely with putting mike White in as the starter at least for now because he does give the team the best chance to win. That being said I fear for his well being because he isn't mobile enough to escape all the free running defenders coming at him and he will struggle to make plays with his feet when plays break down and we all know they will. OK, I'll get off my soap box now.
