The Jets are not cursed at QB....just stupid.

A couple of years ago, Douglas was considered a shrewd GM for being able to unload Darnold for a 2nd rounder. Guess what? Darnold is looking pretty good. Still happy with the 2nd rounder?

This off-season the Jets will likely cut ties with Wilson and take a negative cap hit which couldn't be much more of a stupid move even if Mike White is the future. Losing Wilson will require the team to part ways with a player that helps the team greatly. And yet some of you think this is a good idea.

I don't know what the future holds for Wilson but he has the talent to be a star in this league. He probably needs a shrink because he's afraid to take chances that he needs to take to grow...and this is why he didn't progress. Yet he's written off and a ridiculous narrative about him not being able to succeed because he's a spoiled rich kid may prove itself to be nonsense.

How about Geno Smith? His career numbers are decent believe it or not in spite of having Stephen Hill to throw to.

Regarding the bolded, that's not what I'm saying. But there's a lot more blame to go around than one player. How did Mike White do today?

The team is invested invested in Wilson whether anyone likes it or not. Shooting itself in the foot to get rid of him is about the stupidest move that the team can possibly make.

I'll reiterate. The team is invested in Wilson for next season whether or not anyone likes it. So, the team has to try and find a way forward. If there was a clean way of cutting Wilson, I'd probably be on board with not wasting more time on him. But I'd also be on board with Darnold returning.

Regardless, there's a problem with coaching.

I don't agree with that. I think he needs a lot more work though and was not worth the 2nd overall pick. I thought that last year too. And earlier in the season when the Jets were successful, I was concerned that he wasn't growing.

Agree to disagree. Zach has the physical talent but not the instinct for the game. He shows that every time he takes a snap. He tries to bull his way to the big play instead of taking what is given.....come on are we watching the same games here? If you can't see it by now you most likely never will.
Maybe Zach needed to hold a clipboard in this League but that effectively ended when they changed the rookie pay scale. Now you have less time to develop them. Puts a major snag in that plan for any team. Zach will most likely have to find another place to "grow".

Whether it’s just for a span of a few years to a decade or so of consistent franchise QB play. It started out with Montana (if I’m correct). Then it went immediately after to Young. Two first ballot Hall Of Fame guys.

Then, A. Smith who was average to above average, can we at least have that??? Then Kapernick that didn’t last as long but gave them some consistent play for a few years. Now they have Jimmy G who did well for them a few years. Trey Lance who might be excellent but just got injured and this rookie they drafted as the very last pick. Where the hell did this kid come from?

This kid Purdy is an excellent QB or so far he is. Why can’t the Jets ever have nice things like this??? QBs just seems to fall into the 49ers laps. Other teams also like the Steelers, Chiefs, Patriots, Packers but never the Jets! We draft QBs high in the first round like it’s going out of style and still can’t get it right. Purdy is 10 times better than Zach! He just has it and Zach doesn’t. Please don’t sit here and act like coaching is that horrible on this team. This team has weapons galore and a decent defense and special teams. They are very capable of scoring points and have been very capable all year.

It doesn’t matter how well you coach or plan and scheme, if you don’t have the players or QB specially to make it happen than you’re screwed regardless. The Jets apparently don’t have that! Coaching could be better, I’ll admit but this ain’t all on coaching. It’s on the players as well. The QBs primarily!
