This may surprise many but it’s what it is . The plan remains the same using the remainder of Zach Wilson’s rookie contract to try and salvage the young player’s career.
If the opportunity arises, I sign Trubisky as my veteran QB and allow Mike White to leave via free agency . This accomplishes 2 things, it takes away the issue with the team’s love feast with White and by adding Trubisky we get a more mobile version of White with more starting experience.
Next I draft a developmental prospect and as of right now my preference is Mississippi State QB Will Rodgers .

Trubisky is terrible. If you want to keep Zach thats fine, play him behind Carr or Jimmy. My thought…. Flush the entire QB room including White, and get 3 new guys in here.

This coaching should not be allowed to coach another young QB. Now if you said Payton was coming in then I could get on board with this, but not with LaFlunk.
This coaching didn’t fail Wilson . This coaching actual made Flacco look decent until he lost interest and remembered that he wanted to retire before being begged back . I used to work with a kid who had a really good line . “You can’t fix stupid” and Zach Wilson is stupid . How else can you explain having all that talent and playing like he has.

The Jets are not getting rid of Wilson so you can start with that. Secondly Trubisky isn’t terrible, he’s just not proven himself yet. He’s a lot like White only way more athletic. He doesn’t like to take chances so he’s kinda boring but he can make every throw and with velocity behind them . The Jets have to pay Wilson regardless, and adding a Carr or Jimmy G is only gonna add way to much to the cap.
We need to pay Q and add some OLmen and linebackers .

Trubisky if available makes the most sense.

I can get with this but my problem is Zach Wilson. I’m sure they have to keep him because of the money factor. Plus, they want to try and save face as much as possible and rehabilitate him but this kid has gotten worse. Last year he was actually better than this year. He played with a lot more confidence, or it appeared he did with a much worse team. The Jets roster last year was horrible compared to now. So where did he go wrong?

Is it just his confidence? Is it emotional or mental and guess that’s all apart of his confidence. Does he just not give a shit? Being that he got worse from last year with the same coaching staff, can we really put this on them or is something within him that he needs to find to fix it? Maybe the kid just doesn’t have it! I don’t know and at this point don’t care really but I’d like for them to just move on.

I know they won’t or can’t and will try to rehabilitate him and if it works great. But if it don’t I could care less. I also say they should draft a late round project and let him sit and learn 2-3 years if necessary. Maybe then he’ll and I don’t mean Zach Wilson will be ready to take over!

Here you go again with this CS kick TCT! My question is if they do hire an entire new regime, CS at the least then what happens if that staff doesn’t fix this immediately? It usually takes a few years before a staff can get their roster straight and start rolling. So if Peyton and his crew doesn’t fix this next year or the year after, fire them too? When does this end?

The Jets have been going with the fire the CS nonsense after 2-3 years for the past decade or so. The last HC and staff that’s lasted longer than 5 years was Rex Ryan, if I’m correct. Obviously this method they’re trying or tried ain’t working either, so when does it stop. Sooner or later the Jets have to give a CS a chance and why not this staff? I’m curious???

You need a true QB coach on the team. LaFleur is not the guy to coach QB's.
It’s funny to me how a kid who has proven with 3 other QBs that he has a clue about the passing game and has held the position of QB coach two other places prior to joining the Jets doesn’t know what he’s doing because Jet fans say so. A coach can draw up the perfect play but if even 1 of 11 players called on to execute the play screws up the coach is called a moron . If the coach happened to call an excellent play but the defensive alignment blows up the play, there’s not a single thing the coach can do from the sidelines but he’s a moron .

I’m sure that some of us are parents, but I wonder if our kids don’t do exactly what we teach them does that make us morons or even bad parents. At the end of the day, it all boils down to you get outta something what you put into it, provided you’re able.

I wouldn’t say it ain’t working. Year 1 they won 4 games and installed a mandate of meaningful games in December.
Year 2 they have won 7 games thus far and the mandate has been reached.
All without competent QB play and a miserable OL . The defense has gone from last to top 10 and still needs improvements.
All in all i think the team is in great hands and heading in the right direction.

Trubisky? Horrible. I'd rather have Carr and I don't want Him at all. I want to see who comes free in the off season and go from there.

Need to solidify the OL.
They need to draft a pocket passer.
None of the top draft prospects meet those requirements but the kid from Stanford Tanner McKee does, round 3 which also allows us to sign a free agent to be the bridge guy. Can sign Heinicke, Minchew or even trade for Mills. Have to marry the qb to the scheme not hope a player will acclimate to the play call and offer more to the game plan which they did when they drafted Zach Wilson. Problem with a kid like ZW is all he was and is, is a player that is a home run signal caller and the little things will never be in his game because he feels he does not need to perfect his inefficiencies to make a him a better all around player. He believes because he was the 2nd overall pick that he is a polished player. He believes being handed the keys to the kingdom that the team needs to build around who he is as a qb rather then him elevating his game to help the offense grow as a unit which is the main reason the locker room is fractured, all spoiled ego.

I’m agreeing with this 1,000 percent here! Some players have it or can get/learn it and others don’t and can’t! If that’s the case with Zach and it definitely appears to be so, then what is any coach supposed to do with that? There have been many first round QBs that turned out to be bust: Josh Rosen, Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith and Jemarcus Russell. On top of many more. Was that their coaches fault or just the players themselves? Some of these QBs and many more had multiple chances with different teams and none of them could help these QBs. I think the answer is pretty obvious.

Sign brady. I’d love to see him get pounded behind our offensive line He’d retire before finishing the pre season

clearly, whatever qb we get will turn color blind upon putting on the jersey and every offensive lineman we sign will go straight to IR
