What will you remember the most about Rex Ryan's time here?

What's his legacy?

Despite all the negativity the last few years, I'll never forget the swagger that he brought here. It was cool to be a Jets fan. Our defense was feared and we were knocking qbs down with our pressure. I might be in the minority but I enjoyed that before he was told to tone it down. We talked crap but we were able to back it up.

Things I will always remember about Rex:

His introductory press conference. I happen to be off that day and watched it on SNY. When he talked about meeting the President and... "if you a take a swipe at one of ours we'll take a swipe at two of yours." I never heard a Jets HC talk like that!
The playoff runs in 2009 & 10 were fantastic.
I really thank Rex for making us relevant again.
Also he is someone who I always felt wanted to be a Jet!

Even though I do think it is time for him to go, similar to Andy Reid with the Eagels, I will always have a soft spot for him.

Other than the Chargers win in 2009 and the great 2010 run there has been nothing to remember.
The team has gotten worse & more undisciplned year after year.
People bring up Belichicks run without Brady but forget that those Browns teams got better & better & were poised for a great year when Modell announced he was moving the team & pulled the rug out from under the organization.
Rex tenure here was kid of the reverse of that.

Those Brown teams had better QB's then Rex ever did.. Kosar,Vinny and even Mark Rypien as a back up..

I am hoping to wake up from this bad dream and praying it never happened.

I remember the two championship games. I remember the circus like atmosphere that was a breath of fresh air at the start, but became stale awfully fast. I'll remember all the in game management mess ups. I'll remember the false bravado, the total ignorance of offense, and of course, all the guarantees.

infuriating losses and mind numbing mid-game mistakes, unfortunately

the playoff run is but a distant memory

Isn't that the way Rex's tenure is remembered...team plays all out but coaching isn't at the same level, some mistake that keeps Jets close in most games but not completely getting over the hump

Time to remember him walking out the door of Florham Park to his car with all his blustering promises of visits to the White House blown to pieces by his faith in two of the worst quarterbacks in.NFL history.

What comes to mind is the Hard Knock episode where he said: "Now let's go and eat a god-damn snack"

I remembered thinking "is this guy joking?"

I'm still not sure if it was a put on.

Rex's first couple of years here. All the hoopla and crazy talk. I actually liked it. Thought the guy was going to win a ring here. He didn't, but it was still exciting. Two lousy QB's did him in.

A couple of clueless gm's didn't help his cause either.
