I doubt anyone offers anything. How far he has fallen.
While this certainly reflects on Douglas' first draft, I think what needs to be considered is how good the drafts have been with the Douglas/Saleh combination. There is something to be said for how well a front office and coaching staff work together, and that is the case with Douglas and Saleh. Their drafts are greater than the sum of their parts.
Last year was certainly a great draft, the jury is still out on this years , 2021 isn't looking so good but could still improve.
Yeah, 2021 was iffy. Becton is the key. If he actually surprises this year, it goes from being meh to being at least pretty decent.
Good point on GM/coach being on the same page, and that doesn't always happen right away. Scouting/coaching staff must be on the same page for the type of player/person fits for the locker room and scheme fits. These things take longer than a season to get right, and I think we are starting to see evidence of that with the recent drafts.
Becton I believe was drafted in 2020. IMO ater terrible draft. I could see several players from that class missing the roster this year.

I love AVT but he has to have a stellar career to justify the draft price. A first and 2 thirds is a lot of capital for a guard. 2021 can break either way

The departure of Mims comes as no surprise to me. I lay that all on him. He had, likely still has, potential, but when given opportunities he just didn't produce at the level he was capable of. He had a few atta boy moments but unfortunately gave us more aw shit moments. I'm surprised he lasted this long.
I just wish that page included linebackers with some beef on them. I think our defense can still be manhandled at the point of attack.

Small and Fast means they are Blocked and Passed. Come playoff time this is going to be a problem.
Well they haven’t been that good. Becton/Mims and then Zach/Elijah Moore. Those are four wasted high draft picks.

I know Jets fans rip on Christopher Johnson's time because of the Gase hiring, and rightly so. But the turnaround for this franchise came when JD was hired, and that was when Chris was running the show. It is the best hire for this franchise since Parcells.
I would imagine the conditions are making the roster, or something along those lines.
