Big time move for seattle. First playmaking receiver they had in a while.
It will be interesting to see how Graham performs now that Brees isn't throwing his way.
Wilson is a very good all around QB but he doesn't have the pure passing skills of Brees IMO.
That being said your absolutely right; Wilson is probably doing cartwheels with this news.

Really, you think thats too much to possibly land a franchise qb? Not sure why its so different than the proposed Philly trade. Ok, but they were just talking on ESPN radio that the Saints are looking to trade Brees.

But they just lost their all-pro center and LG today as well as their 1st. They can certainly use Graham though.
My colleague was telling me about the idea of the Jets going after Brees. I'd want to but I really really doubt Saints would ever relinquish him. Top QBs like him are hard to come by.

no, i think brees and the #31 for the #6 would be the biggest heist in the history of the nfl in favor of the jets. my crack comment was meant as the saints GM would need to be on crack to make such an idiotic, lopsided trade of the best player in franchise history. i don't think they would do the #6 pick straight up, let alone give us the #31 (not 13 as you said above) .
in any event, they aren't trading brees. they'd take a huge cap hit if they traded him and unless they plan on playing in front of a near empty superdome with fans wearing bags over their heads, they aren't trading brees.
Brees is not going anywhere. Plus if the far fetched trade you proposed did happen- the Jets would be getting a QB in his late 30's who makes 20MM per year and is much less effective outdoors than in a dome. The Saints are in salary cap hell and Brees plays a large role in that...
Did not realize the he made that much. ESPN made it sound like Bree's was not in the. saints plans. He's 36? How many productive years could he have? 2?
