I don't like giving a 30 Y.O. player a five year deal, but the 14 million per is about right for Revis, not a bargain, but its not wildly overpaying either. That said, we had to concede something to snatch him away from the Pats, so offering the fifth year was probably a necessity.

Me too, Super, I thought he was gonna hold us up for more than that. I'm actually relieved that its only 14 million per, though I don't like the five years, but I can live with that and like I said, we had to make some concessions to take him away from the team he just won a SB with.

Cap is around $145 million right? So 70/5 is less than 10% average.
Not bad considering what a good secondary will do with that line.
Are we an elite pass rusher away from best defense in the league?
Pryor shouldn't be covering this year either, so he should look better.

the contract is very team friendly first three 3 years 16 million per year with guarantee money. the next two years 11 million per no guarantee money if he slows down we can cut him with no recourse

IFFF he is still an elite CB in years 4 and 5, he'll sit rather than play for 11 per year. With Revis back at CB we can press and blitz more which is what Coach Bowles likes to do.
Look for us to bring more pressure this year.
If Milliner can finally realize his potential the result should be numerous sacks / interceptions / turnovers.

Agreed. It seems odd that the last two years are 11 per but maybe he has changed and really wanted to come home

No contracts have significant gaurantees beyond year 3.

This is great news. We got the best player the Jets have had in over a decade, and weakened the Pats in the process. With Skrine and Revis, now we have a defense that can really compete if everyone stays healthy. Great job by our new GM and Bowles.
