This is a pretty damning report

"Among the many issues for the Jets during the 2023 season detailed in the report are "a paranoid head coach, an ill-equipped offensive coordinator and an organizational tunnel vision on the quarterback that rubbed some teammates wrong."

One AFC general manager described Joe Douglas as the "assistant GM" with Rodgers perceived as the person in charge of the personnel decisions.

It wasn't an accident that several of the players signed by the Jets last offseason were teammates with Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers. They brought in Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Tim Boyle and Billy Turner."

Seems like Hackett was coasting as well and didn't really give a shit

"For most of the season, Hackett would meet with offensive line coach/running game coordinator Keith Carter and passing game coordinator Todd Downing during the week but wouldn't get together with the rest of the offensive staff until the 'last minute' of game prep," Rosenblatt and Russini wrote."

This is an absolute mess, and an indictment of both Saleh and Hackett. The piece is not surprising, and it's always in fashion to publish a hit piece on the Jets. There is no greater target in sports.

Interestingly, the front office and personnel people are largely left unscathed by this. With Hogan leaving, one would have to think he or those under him played a big role in the leaks for this piece. Coaching takes a much bigger hit than personnel.

Of course, we gave you a perfectly good potentially great QB and you proceeded to ruin him. 2 different offensive coordinators and a HC are to be blamed for a lousy QB showing the world who he actually is.
Yeah let’s blame the coach and the OC because they do their Jobs and expect the players they deployed to be able to adapt to what they’re looking at . .
Asking someone to have the common sense to do their job is a crime in today’s society.

A quality coaching staff adust their scheme to fit the players at their Disposal. The Jets are still trying to hammer square pegs into round holes. The make absolutely no adjustments,in season, in games, and their own players are calling them out for it.

To my knowledge I can think of 3 significant adjustments were attempted to try and make a turd look like something other than what it was . Every single Jet fan, media personality and for the most part just about every player knew what was up 4 plays into the 2023 season. Lie to yourself if you want but we all said the same thing collectively. It went something like this .

“And just like that our season is over “. We all knew it. This blame game doesn’t make any difference. If this team doesn’t win in 2024 everyone is fired so what’s the point . I’m a fan of the Jets and if you wear the colors you get my support.

Unless you were at anytime a Dolphin and then you’re dead to me .

Why was the season over 4 plays in?
No back up plan for Rodgers going down.(predictable)
Poor O line , subsequent injuries.(predictable)
An OC who wasn't aware that Breece Hall was that good?( Pathetic)
Rodgers more concerned with being in the public spotlight, McAfee appearances, then mentoring the kid QB he professed to love.
We all knew the season was over 4 plays in, many knew before the first play.
The reasons why are what has fans disgruntled.
JD, Saleh and staff need to own their failures.
Coaching for another season,job preservation, instead of going all in with the players you have is pathetic. That's why the players are pissed and taking shots at them.
This franchise lacks accountability and discipline. Most long time fans are sick of it.
We support the players,root for victory even when we know it's futile.
I do agree with you regarding next season, the dumpster is fuming, failure to fix the O line again and failure to address WR will lead to fire.
A conference championship game may be enough to douse the flames, but anything less and the inferno is inevitable .

I agree except with Rodgers not mentoring Wilson. In fairness to Rodgers he was back and forth doing rehab in CA. I don't hate Rodgers for his appearance on McAfee's show. The rest of your post is dead on and at the end of the day this coaching staff and GM have put this organization in this situation. Deep playoff run or gone as far as I'm concerned.

But you can't consider the Jets in isolation. Buffalo and Miami are set to dominate the division for the next five years unless something goes badly wrong for them. 'Success' might just be looking like an actual NFL offense, being competitive, and not being overtaken by the Pats and their new HC/QB.

The offense was terrible most of the season, Saleh had zero answers, just like last year.
Blame Zach, Blame Oline, blame receivers, blame yourself. Jets lead the league in penalties, a lot were presnap(mental) that’s coaching.
Saleh, YOU interviewed and hired Hackett, if he’s not doing his job it’s on you. You correct it, that’s your job. Make sure the entire team is functioning at a high level.
I don’t ever want to hear another post game press conference with Saleh saying, well, the defense played a good game. Fuck that shit.
You have 1 more shot, ONE.
You fail it’s all over.
