Saleh return? Nah Rodgers revenge for not being picked #1. Also no cross country travel between games so it's the best scenario possible.Saleh return

everything the jets should excel at
I have to agree with TCT on this. Cross country with no game the week before. Start it off right. One of the best teams as we are as healthy as we will probably be all season.Once again the schedule makers did no favor to the Jets. How many years would that make?

Is our starting oline going to be ready to start week 1? MaybePlay the best team on the schedule when the Jets will be its healthiest presumably.
The NFL front office has always had a hardon against the Jets since showing them up in SB III. When Joe Namath said , "Welcome to the American Football League" to Pete Rozelle, it sealed their fate. Just think, when both NY teams needed a GM and went to the league, the guys in Blue got George Young. They gave us Jim Kensil. When it came time to enforce the defending a field goal rule, the only time it got called was against the Jets. And those are just two examples. There are a few charter NFL teams. (Older U.S. cities). The Jets at least are a charter AFL-NFL merger team. (We made it happen!)
What did we get for it? Bubkis!
That’s true, but even if they were all hurt they are better than what we rolled out Week 1 last year.Is our starting oline going to be ready to start week 1? Maybe
will they have had much playing time together before week 1? Nope
I cannot understand Goodell? When the,Jets were on Madison Ave., Goodell was an intern for them. Now he wouldn't give them the time of day. C'mon Rog, you weren't privy to much. You probably had to use the bathroom in the lobby. You're trying too hard to act squeaky clean. In psychology it's called overcompensating. The NFL front office has always had a hardon against the Jets since showing them up in SB III. If there is a way for the league to screw us, they'll do it.
If they have to do only one thing in the opener to win, it is:
Stop McCaffrey
Later
I like getting the toughest game out of the way first, conditionally, if the "O" line can jell enough during training camp and pre-season to play well and protect Rogers. There are a lot of new bodies on this "O" line trying to learn to play together in a very short period of time. The saving grace is that most of the new additions are vets. I'm optimistic. I will feel better about it if the reports from camp are all positive.Week one games are always a toss up since the league lessened the OTAs. Upsets are the norm.
It's a blessing to get the toughest game week 1.
There might be something to that. And against it. Experience of the OL. Cohesion there yet? True chemistry with QB and receivers.I like getting the toughest game out of the way first, conditionally, if the "O" line can jell enough during training camp and pre-season to play well and protect Rogers. That’s the best and only way to look at it! Jets as a whole and individual players and coaches have ALOT to redeem themselves on with this game here:I have to agree with TCT on this. Let’s see where we are right from the start. Love this first game.
I doubt the O line sees significant time together.I like getting the toughest game out of the way first, conditionally, if the "O" line can jell enough during training camp and pre-season to play well and protect Rogers. Sadly, probably. Is our starting oline going to be ready to start week 1? Maybe
