The Jets have no excuses anymore, PERIOD! Aaron Rodgers seems like he’s healthy and he can lead them to the best they can possibly be. Whatever that is! The rest of the team just needs to get their shit together and it has to start this week against the Titans. They lose this week against them, I will slowly start to think differently about them. This next four weeks should be wins. Whether there are easy wins or last minute drives, it doesn’t matter but they better be wins.

Rodgers looked good for a 40 year old QB coming off a major injury and not having played in a year. The offense looked good in spurts but they have issues to work out.
I wanted to walk away from Week 1 with something to build on, and IMO we did that. Saleh has his work to do, lets see how things develop

Was M. Williams injured yesterday or was he a freaking healthy scratch? Lazard has proven nothing over to past years but he was in the field like he’s a #1, what’s the deal? Somebody PLEASE answer these questions for me.
This is why I’ve been saying it for years or asking, why are the Jets even on any primetime games? Aaron Rodgers or not, they’ve done nothing for years now to deserve a single solitary primetime game but they have 6 this year. It’s like they want to expose the Jets if they lose!
He played and was on the field for a handful of snaps. They are handling him like they did Breece last season. He's on a pitch count. He was out there but wasn't targeted.
1-13 in last 14 primetime games is the stat I saw.
But they still keep putting in these games like they’re the Chiefs or the 49ers. Freaking ridiculous! SMDH
I don't mind being the one on an island here and I hope I am wrong and the Jets better hope that I am. This offense wasn't the problem, but they did nothing outside of a single drive to inspire confidence. It looked like they were playing a vanilla preseason offense, but the problem is this is what Hackett's offense looks like when he doesn't have LaFleur. The defense was putrid and exposed. People keep saying well what did we expect its the best team in the NFC. Well I expected them to be somewhat competitive and they weren't on either side of the ball. And not being able to compete with a SB contender means the Jets are not a SB contender. Can they be? Probably not, but I guess it's not outside the realm of possibilities. The problem lies in the bill of goods sold by JD and Saleh that Rodgers is the missing piece. This team better compete for a SB otherwise both better be gone. Making the playoffs is not enough.

no time to panic.......SF did us a favor.....smacked them in the head and reminded them they are not gonna just show up and expect to win. The way I see it, Shanahan has Saleh's number. Was ahead of him the rest of the night once they started to score. Jets have rust to work out, but it was a bad matchup mentally. This may be the only team that can do that to them....and now they have the blueprint to try to make corrections on.
Wow. So for the franchise holding the longest streak for not making the playoffs 'making the playoffs is not enough'? The franchise in the same division as two of the best AFC teams, Buffalo and Miami? (and I'm suspecting a surprise Pats resurgence).
Lazard was rubbish last year and he did start by dropping a catchable pass, but his play improved in the next three quarters and he justified his position on the field. Williams has only been with the first team squad for a week or so after a nasty injury and it makes sense to ease him in.

This is my take…… Salah, Hackett and Ulbrich were completely out coached, made no adjustments and the Jets maintained the rep of puking all over prime time. Rodgers played and made calls that were very vanilla….. played like a guy on his first motorcycle ride after crashing his prior bike. (That will change after a game or so). The main culprit is the same culprit….. our coaches suck, are unimaginative, and play the wrong people. Our first 2 picks in the last draft played exactly 1 down. You cant tell me Corley is a worse player than #82 (cant remember his name) who did absolutely nothing last night.
