I gotta believe that Bowles is pretty pleased at this point in the upgrades to arguably the most critical component of his defensive scheme. The thing is, he is nowhere in the limelight proclaiming a visit to the White House. These guys appear to be all business, which I like.

I read that he played the most dime coverage of any DC in the league. In fact I read it is not uncommon for him to pull all of his linebackers off the field in certain obvious passing down situations and go with four down linemen and seven defensive backs, and he'll always blitz at least one, but you never know which one (or two).

That is his MO I am sure Maccagnan is giving him what he is asking for and Bowlles has plans to use every DB.

IMO, none of those safties should have anything handed to them, as far as depth chart. The best player in that group, for my money, is AA

I don't see Miles making the team. Everyone else will be good for it. He can use some of his CB at safety if he needs to and won't miss a beat. Our secondary is sick now. I won't say Seattle like but wow, we have some fire power here as well.

Love the Gilchrist signing. I don't see Milliner as our 3rd rated CB even when healthy.

Not questioning the Secondary or D-Line, but we need a lot of help at LB. I would not question if we drafted 2 LBers with our 1st and 2nd Rd picks. Not to mention we need help on the OL.

me to i love the signing. The good news also is with the signing of cro the learning the new defense is now accelerated because cro will be a huge source of info on this type of defense.

I think gilchrist can play the role jim leonard had where before the snap he knows where everyone is supposed to be.

I like the signing, but I seriously hope his athleticism can translate into playing in space. We haven't had a safety who can cover in years.
