Apparently the NFL is sending someone to investigate the revis tampering talk
a Pats fan actually said this

At least Woody was man enough to admit his mistake!
1. Woody probably should be hit with a fine, and the team a late pick, for his stupid comments in that press conference.
2. If the league is going to investigate contact between teams and players under contract to other teams, they should start by investigating the Patriots and Blount, when Blount was on the Steelers.
Pot meet kettle.
Give me a fricking break. What Woody did pales in comparison to Spygate and Inflategate, among other things. This is typical border war derangement syndrome. The Patriots have been exposed numerous times for blatant disregard for the rules, and are taking Woody's comment, and trying to say "SEE! EVERYONE'S GUILTY!" This is laughable.

It was in inappropriate comment about another teams player, but if this is cheating than the Patriots should have been banned out of the league years ago [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

I said on our old board from the beginning Woody deserved it and would get a small fine as a slap on the wrist.
There is no precedent for third rounders being swapped, or anything higher. I find it beyond humorous that some Pats fans online have been calling for the Pats to get this, or the #6 overall pick.
The Chiefs and Lions swapped fifths in a tampering case. And in that case, there was proof that the Lions were in contact with a player under contract with the Chiefs. There is proof Woody mentioned Revis in a press conference, but no proof of any contact between the parties.
A third seems out of line, considering it's never been the punishment before for an offense that has a precedent.
And if the league is going to investigate whether the Jets were in contact with Revis before the Pats released him, then they NEED to investigate whether the Pats were in contact with Blount before the Steelers released him.
I find it hilarious that Pats fans want the Jets investigated for everything, while sweeping the Pats' repeated offenses under the rug.
