He was far from ordinary at Cal. He didn't have the supporting cast but he was excellent and showed he has exceptional toughness. He took some hits, that would have knocked most QBs out of the game,if not multiple games and got right up. Cals o line ranking dropped to 128 in the nation, they had no run game and they improved in every passing metric. Mendoza still managed over 3000 yards and over 68 % passing completion. Indy runs a pro style offense so teams are not going to have to design a system to fit him. He has good arm strength, a quick release, excellent awareness, can move in the pocket, reads the D extremely well, is extremely tough and can run when necessary. Has prototypical size, with large hands. Cal was irrelevant last year and Mendoza was not a draft prospect so he under the radar but if you watch the Cal tape, you will see Mendoza was every bit as good as this season,with no talent around him.

He can play.....and run. He's a duel threat QB. But, I think he will struggle at the NFL level. His height, and I know you are going to bring up short QBs that did play well, is going to be a real handicap. At the NFL level he'll get a lot of passes batted down or deflected. It's going to be tough for him to see over his own linemen, let alone defensive linemen, making it difficult for him to see his receivers down field which makes chunk plays difficult and limits him to mostly play action and screens. Wilson's skill set would be handicapped as would any other speedy long ball threat receivers. I also noticed that defenders were often reading his eyes. NFL defenders excel at beating QBs that do that. We could probably get him late in the 2nd or early in the third round just for these reasons but why would we ?

I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
I want to see how these guys sustain their level of play over the course of this playoff.
While He does have some SHORT comings let's see his next game and how it goes for ALL of the QBs. Cream rises to the top.

If you are drafted by the Jets and return to college instead they still own your rights in perpetuity, don't they? But I wonder how a court action by the player for 'restraint of trade' would go.
The only good thing that happened to day is the Jets moved to the #2 pic and we avoided the nightmare of trading all our picks to move up. Raiders aren't trading the #1 pick so if the Jets think Dante Moore is worth the #2 pick then they won't have to trade up. I personally take the BPA or trade down and get another pick or two.
So both the Giants and Raiders win today, plus the Jets get destroyed and it doesn’t even matter. The Jets still don’t get the #1 draft pick. The Jets luck just can’t get any worse! No matter what they do or how they do it, it’s always some shit!

Jets won't get Mendoza, but will get a player of need for sure. They will be terrible next year and will probably get their QB next year. I don't think Moore is ready to play or a good fit for NY.
And if they bring back Glenn, they just can't draft a QB period.
I know, I know. There are exceptions and Mahomes is one of them but there are very few and none of this years QB draft prospects have anywhere near the skill set of Mahomes.

Chambliss is 5 11 195 at best. Regardless of what Old Miss list him at.
There is zero similarities between the 2. No in size or ability.
Chambliss is Kyler Murray 2.0 at best.
He has been inconsistent for 5 years, can't ignore that and draft him off one game
