I don't view this as "IF we fire Glenn, hire Harbaugh".
To me, IF Harbaugh is willing to coach the Jets, fire Glenn immediately.
I don't think we'll have a chance to hire a proven-commodity HC any time soon.
I was in the small minority who desperately wanted Sean Payton and then Jim Harbaugh, and this is a similar opportunity.
Otherwise, it just feels we'll never ever have a competent HC. You all remember the long pathetic list of inept hires post-Parcells, right?? (Rex being the sole partial exception)

Woody won't hire a coach that isn't prepared to report to him. You would think that in order for Harbaugh to come here he would have to be given the keys to the whole operation.
