Darnold is in a good situation. He still doesn't look too clever when his protection breaks down.
It was a big turning point in this franchises' history when the 49ers made an uncharacteristic mistake by offering a haul for the #2 pick and the Jets let them off the hook by turning it down and taking Zach Wilson. We could have built a wall in front of Darnold with that haul.

Just think if Jets could have drafted right QB before Darnold! Naw, they would have ruined him like Darnold. I said back then Darnold could be average QB and is that, just not for Jets. Zach Wilson we will never know after what Jets, HC and fans did to that kid. I said he had to sit at least a year or two! Instead utterly destroyed any confidence he had thanks to coaching and players with fans. Sadly ended any chance. Thanks Teabow! Yes Raiders whos won many SBs and going to get their QB this Draft! Owner had bad luck finding a long term HC and Pete was a short term try to fix. But Raiders never ever been as bad as the Jets ! Hope they get a good coach we got the QB and could be like Pats in one year with our cap wide open! Play Geno one more year to Rookie QB ready and build around him! Exciting time for me! Last time was Rex until Woody fired GM and idzik destroyed Jets team to current trash.
