Teary-eyed Sheldon Richardson: ‘Didn’t get drafted to lose games’

The above is from the NY Post. Sheldon has heart, the rest of them didn’t seem to care. Do you think that’s the case or do you think the weakness in the secondary is too much to overcome?

Sheldon is the beating heart of this team. He's also the best interview, and most fun personality. Coincidentally, he's also our best on-field player, and is a force to be reckoned with.

If we had 22 Sheldons, we would never lose. I hate that we're wasting him away on this team.

Agreed. I disagree with everything that happened after the verdict last night, but that is Sheldon's home. He has family there, he has friends there. He went to school there. If anyone is allowed to have an opinion, it's him. Yet we have people calling him all sorts of things and wanting him kicked off the team for it. Beyond ridiculous.

This situation in Ferguson is obviously a hot topic. He should have just stayed out of it but he didnt. Let's hope this doesn't distract him too much. I really like him as a player.

He's just an emotional person. Earlier in the year he told Geno haters to "shut up". He took responsibility for the time-out fiasco earlier in the year and now this. He just cares too much. Let's hope we don't play like crap where he no longer will care.

He doesn't care too much. He cares the right amount. The problem we have is that other than him and maybe Rex, no one else cares that much.
