In what round will the Jets pick a QB in the 2015 NFL Draft?

If more than one QB is selected, the round in which the 1st QB was selected will be the winner.

Positions will be based on the 1st position listed on the draft board at NFL.com after the pick is made

I bet the Jets picked no QB. They already have 2 guys developing on the roster already. Smith isn't going anywhere this season and Simms is further ahead and may be better than the Hundley or Petty or the rest of the guys...plus the Jets threw away a pick last year on Boyd.

It will be dictated by how the chips fall in front of us. If Mariota falls to 6 then I think we take our QB there. If not, we target Petty, Hundley, or Grayson in rounds 2 or 3.

I am on record as saying that there is no way we get past our 3rd round pick without acquiring a QB. I just don't know which one of those rounds it will be until things take shape in front of us.

If Mariota doesn't fall to the Jets at 6, I don't think they will select a QB. Mcc says they are going to go BAP for entire draft. In this draft, after the first I don't see a round in which a QB is likely to be the BPA.

If Petty falls to the 3rd or Grayson the 4th, they would be great value choice and potential franchise QBS for the Jets. Especially with Fitzpatrick and Simms to mentor and Gailey to develop them

One of the biggest myths in the NFL is that veteran QB's , who are struggling to stay in the league, and protect their $3,500,000 pay checks, are really thrilled to mentor young QB's who are coming to take their pay checks .

Even if he is a really nice, intelligent guy as advertised, I can almost assure you Fitz's intentions with the Jets aren't to help young QB's. He wants to be the starter, and turn that $3,500,000 check into a $6,000,000+ check in his final contract.

If he isn't doing that the rumor that he is very intelligent is false

I still can't see Chip Kelly & the Eagles going into the season with Sam Bradford as his starting QB ? He has a Man crush on Mariota, and if the Titans take Williams DL, then things for several teams will change in a hurry. I think Kelly feels he has a stronger trading chip with Bradford and thats why he traded him for Foles.
Would you guys consider trading #6 for Bradford plus the Eagles 20th pick ?

Go Jets...Cyborg

Assuming this isn't REAL money, but virtual imaginary dollars, HYATT™ splits, putting $250 each on Rd 5 & Rd 6.
Anyone actually trying to collect on this bet will find HYATT™'s piss pot was hocked long ago and have to settle for taking 500 square feet of his weed-infested lawn instead.

Petty, Grayson, Hundley, & Mannion will all disappear before the end of Rd 4.
Carden, Bridge, Lovelocke, & Wallace are the likeliest QB prospects left at Rd 5's opening.
Halliday, despite his 6'-4" height, is just too small & frail to stand up to the rigors of the NFL QB position and will end up like Colt Brennan of Hawai'i a few years back. Great NCAA QB, but too frail for NFL duty.

If the Jets do decide to take a developmental QB, South Alabama's 6'-5" / 235# Brandon Bridge is the guy they want.
He's a read-option QB, like Kaepernick, but he does have perhaps the strongest arm in the 2015 QB class and can scramble well enough to save his own skin if need be.

Hyatt, right now, we don't have picks in rounds 5 & 6.
The draft ain't here yet, which is why HYATT™ split his bet.
HYATT™ believes a trade IS going to happen on that #6 pick and the end result will be the acquisition of at least one pick in one of those 2 rounds.

I hope so. I want us to trade down.
