Love cooper. Not a fan of Peat at all.

Not me, but a few have wondered if we go OT high in the draft (by high, I think somewhere rd 1-3), and Peat is slipping a little. I wonder if he's a trade down target or trade up from rd 2 target...it also says the jets are considering what some fans have asked for...a deeper look at the OTs because Brick aint getting any younger and Breno aint getting any better...cant be mad if they kick the tires on a few OTs I guess, even if I agree with you, other than Collins RT LSU, I dont see anyone to get excited about...

I love Cooper and Peat both. Sign me up for either one right now. Cooper is more of an immediate impact, Peat can sit for a year and be a star for the next decade.

I think the Jets definitely need to take a look at OT. It's a need area for the reasons you mentioned. I don't think Peat is that guy. Who knows, he could be a Pro Bowl player, but he wouldn't be my first choice. Cooper that's a different story. He's a legit NFL caliber receiver day 1.

I like Collins as well.

Give me Cooper or White with the 6th . It's about time the Jets get an immediate impact player on Offense.
So many want an OLB, when will the offensive needs ever be addressed? It's time for the Jets, if available draft one of these two beasts.
If they're gone by 6, then thats the only way i'd draft a pass rusher.

I forgot about that game. If you just looked at the score you would have thought it was just a case of a good team beating up on a weak team. It was actually a good game for almost 3/4'ers. Cooper was sensational.

I won't complain one bit if the Jets select Amari Cooper in the first round. The WR unit would be outstanding. Marshall, Decker, Cooper, Kerley.

Uh, yeah. That would be top notch.

I hope the pick is Cooper, just have a Raiders will take him first.

We are already fixed up well in the WR department. Our OL still needs help as far as I am concerned and having good WR's doesn't make a damn bit of difference if your OL sucks and you do not have a QB. Lets fix the root causes before we move to flashy WR's especially when we already have two very good WR's.

I am 100% on board with an OL at 6, so long as Mariota is off the board.

I wonder if the Jets think he can start at OG before bouncing out to OT next year. I wonder if he could play OG as a rookie, RT next year, and LT in 3 years.

Ummm, Can't we do that with free agent James Carpenter 6'4"/321 ? He was the Seahawks 2011 1st round pick out of Alabama as their LT. This is a weak year to draft a franchise LT to replace Brick. What about a versatile OL like Cameron Erving 6'5"/308 who is one of the top rated center's who can also play LT, RT or G ? I still want Cooper @ #6 .

Well, sir...James Carpenter played LG, or pulling guard, for the Seahawks (hard to believe with his size). the road grader OG, or RG, was played by Colon last year for us. I wonder if the Jets will keep Carpenter at LG, where he's been playing, and consider replacing Colon with Peat.

Now, before you get your britches in a bunch, Im not recommending this. I liked Aboushi and still think Dozier and even Winters may have some upside (and they're all young)...but I wonder if Mac and team looked at the tape and feel if they draft Peat, he can play OG for 1 season opposite Carpenter and ahead of Aboushi? Im not saying we will, or I recommend it, I just wonder if we're scouting him heavily (we are), if that's the plan...would be interesting if so and also say a lot about what Mac thought of Aboushi and Winters after watching the tape...
