Ummm, Can't we do that with free agent James Carpenter 6'4"/321 ? He was the Seahawks 2011 1st round pick out of Alabama as their LT. This is a weak year to draft a franchise LT to replace Brick. What about a versatile OL like Cameron Erving 6'5"/308 who is one of the top rated center's who can also play LT, RT or G ? I still want Cooper @

Go Jets...Cyborg
Well, sir...James Carpenter played LG, or pulling guard, for the Seahawks (hard to believe with his size). the road grader OG, or RG, was played by Colon last year for us. I wonder if the Jets will keep Carpenter at LG, where he's been playing, and consider replacing Colon with Peat.
Now, before you get your britches in a bunch, Im not recommending this. I liked Aboushi and still think Dozier and even Winters may have some upside (and they're all young)...but I wonder if Mac and team looked at the tape and feel if they draft Peat, he can play OG for 1 season opposite Carpenter and ahead of Aboushi? Im not saying we will, or I recommend it, I just wonder if we're scouting him heavily (we are), if that's the plan...would be interesting if so and also say a lot about what Mac thought of Aboushi and Winters after watching the tape...
