It made little sense, aside from Rex trying to "team build," for them to leave vacant a top facility to go to Cortland. This seems much more professional, more in tune with the modern football player.

+1 Agree. Can't find a weight room like that in Cortland. Rex is such a lug head !

I dont mind heading to their practice facility at Florham, but i would have rather them come back to Hofstra as it would give the team the last bit of ny it had from whence they originated from.

Blame the indicted crook, Sheldon Silver. When he pocketed the multi million dollar bribe from the Dolans to single handedly kill the WSS deal, one of the terms of the NJ agreement was that both teams permanent training facilities had to be in NJ

This won't make the LI people happy, but I always thought it was stupid to travel to a second rate facility when they have a state of the art facility right at home

Actually its easier for LI folks to get to Florham Park than it was to go to Cortland..... Also Rex wants to bring the Bills to the Cortland facility and have the Bills partake un Hard Knocks 2015.

A lot of people were talking about another school hosting them on LI for the summer. Can't remember the name of the school

I think it was SUNY Farmingdale

The problem was they have no football team so the Jets would have to build everything. Good that ir would be just what they wanted but bad it would have been expensive and take time.
