Let's just ignore his lack of accountability. Let's ignore that while he was here, guys would play hard for him on Sundays, yet work very little the rest of the week. Let's ignore that rather than call out his own players for myriad mental mistakes, he would talk about his team is the greatest.

I guess his bloviating and his delusions don't matter to fans who care more about having a good guy, a guy to have a beer with, rather than a professional coach.

If I recall, Leon Hess called Richie Kotite a "dese, dems, and dose" guy, the kind of blue collar guy the fans could rally around. If that's what we're looking for, let's remember him fondly, too. He was a nice guy, after all. In way over his head, but a nice, down-to-earth, plainspoken guy. That's what we should care about.

^^^ Rex was part of teh problem, no doubt, but there's a huge blurred line for me on how much was rex, vs Idzik and Mike T, vs Bradway and thr scouting department...everyone shares in the blame, IMO...but I agree its time to stop bickering about how much is rex vs others fault and time to focus on MacBowles.

Less control with idzick but more with tanny. Incidentally after the two glorious runs his first two years with manginis roster. In the last two tanny years rex destroyed the roster we lost our depth. Like I said give him a stacked veteran team he can coach no doubt about it. Ask him to coach a young team or develop players forget about it.

Idzik did a horrible job giving Rex the players he needed in the secondary. And Rex did a horrible job by creating even more weak spots in the secondary when he moved guys out of position (Allen, Pryor). Plenty of blame to go around.
