We ain't trading Revis!
We ain't trading Revis!
We ain't trading Revis!
We ain't trading Revis!

Just sayin'.... Football's a business.

All these situations are totally different Revis and Mo have NOTHING in common at this point..and that was the third time Revis held out..and quite frankly..Woody was rightfully fed up

Mac said they'll work on a deal after the draft...they have all summer to figure it out. I'm sure they will.

The Mo Wilkerson deal will get done .... anyway he gets $ 7 million NOW for 2016! He will then get 13.5 MM next year if he is Franchised, so leaving 20 MM on the table would be assinine.

not sure why this would be considered concerning. it's standard operating procedure in the nfl for players with contract issues to hold out from voluntary camps. just a click on espn's football home page will show that antonio brown is sitting out the steelers voluntary camp, as is AP in minnesota (although i'll grant AP is a different issue).

if it gets to actual camp in august and he's still MIA, then i will be concerned.

i remain confident mo will eventually get his long-term deal. i would be very, very surprised to see him used as trade bait

Well said Hobson. I think Macc made it pretty clear from the start that the free agency/draft period were a priority and that Mo's deal would be addressed after the draft. The two sides had preliminary discussions at the combine, but it was always reported that a post draft deal was most likely. Macc was put in a bad position here because Idzik didn't get this done last year. I believe the Wilkerson side fully understands this.

Talent wise Mo isn't on the same planet with Revis.. He's a very good player Revis was a All Pro considered to be the best at his position Mo isn't..

At this point going into the 2015 season I would say Wilkerson is on the same planet as Revis in value, talent & leadership to the NY Jets. All-Pro is a popularity contest is no guage of value to the team a player plays on.

MARIO EDWARDS is visiting Jets today...maybe they are trading MO :smiley-sleep027:

Mario Edwards is projected to be selected in rounds 3-4, he is also 6'3" and 275 lbs .... more OLB size in today's 3-4 defense .... not sure what him making a visit would have anything to do with Wilkerson's status.

Are you mixing up Pro Bowl and All Pro by any chance?? The fans have a vote in the Pro Bowl but not All Pro..

Once Wilkerson misses his 1st mandatory practice I will be concerned until the it is a non issue to me.

Not tall enough to be a great 3-4 DE, (wingspan), and a 'tweener, weight-wise.
HYATT™ particularly HATES these 270#-280# prospects, they all end up suxing as 3-4 DEs and/or 3-4 converted OLBs - and they usually don't make good 4-3 DEs either.

IMO, I like how the Steelers handle players & agents wanting new deals. They won't re-negotiate with a player until they are in the last year of their deal. Antonio Brown WR is in for a rude awakening when the Steelers tell him to stick it ! He just signed a new deal last year and has 3 years left on his deal, and he already wants a new deal.

If I was a GM, I would draw a line in the sand and tell every player & agent that we won't re-negotiate until the final year of the contract.

Go Jets...Cyborg

Uh, that's actually in the new CBA, to some extent, already - not for Brown necessarily, but for rookies/1st contract players anyway, early renegotiations are prohibited by CBA language now.
You might call this the "Darrelle Revis Rule".

Section 3. Rookie Contracts:
(k) Renegotiations.
- (i) A Rookie Contract for a Drafted Rookie may not be renegotiated, amended or altered in any way until after the final regular season game of the player's third contract year.
- (ii) A Rookie Contract for an Undrafted Rookie may not be renegotiated, amended or altered in any way until after the final regular season game of the player's
second contract year.
